(bklynboy)

yeah i definately agree. some people don't have to count calories. but for others, especially hard gainers, it's much easier to set goals based on realistic results. for bulking especially. it's extremely difficult if you don't have a meal plan and are eating in the 4000 calorie range.

RE: Calories Per Day? (fortyfiveafter)

Im eating about 3500+ a day. But that includes close to a 1000 calories in weight gainer. It's hard to keep up with my calories, i kind of guesstimate, because I sit on my ass all day at gnc i just bring alot of food and munch about every hour and drink alot of water. I feel absolutely engorged by the end of the day though.

Im trying to bulk from 183 to 200. Considering the fact i probably ate about 2000 calories a day before with a dirty diet, im hoping to see good results. And then ill cut a bit probably drop calories to 2000 unless my body doesn't like that to much.
RE: Calories Per Day? (gregdavidson)

On days that I eat nothing but fast food (Mcdonalds, Checkers, Burger King) I could be looking at a good 4000 calories per day.

RE: Calories Per Day? I'm getting complaints from just about everyone with just 2500, ish, sometimes not even that.

I live at home with my family. so i get the three big meals right there. before vacation, i used to get another meal at school. so that's about 2000 calories. I pay for my own protein from the money i saved from a summer job.

the rest of the stuff i use things that are calorie dense but cheap. so chick peas, beans, nuts and peanut butter are a staple part of my diet. Peanut butter is around 100 cals per spoon. a can of chick peas is about 50 cents; 300 calories, 16 grams of protein.
i am sick of most of those foods right now, but hey, it's the price we pay.
RE: Calories Per Day? I'll probably be bulking on 2500 or so calories when the time comes. All it takes is a little more dedication when cutting but think of all the money we save on food! :)
RE: Calories Per Day?
