(Yet)

I know a few guys that wear a weighted vest 24/7. They only take it off to shower.

Before they put it on they'll run a distance (usually 40 yards). Then they'll put it on, wait a few minutes and run the same distance. They'll leave the weighted vest on until they run their original time with the vest on. That way when they take it off, they're that much faster.

I've never done it, because I can't be bothered to look like a fruitcup all day, but it seems to work for them.
RE: Ankle Weights? (rippedchick)

It's rough on your ankles and can strain or tear soft tissue in your ankles and/or feet. I think a weighted vest would be a safer alternative.

Ankle Weights? (Bill1013)

First I would like to say this is the most awesome forum i've ever been on. Next I would like to say my main goal is to get faster, a lot of people told me to go buy ankle weights, and just wear them everyday for daily tasks. I did some research, and some say its great for speed, and others say its hazardous to your health. Any suggestions? Has any1 used before?
