Might sound nasty, but you get accustomed to it after awhile.

On a cut, Marc is correct, 9 times out of 10 most people cut down on carbs like no tommorrow almost to the point of ketogenesis. I know I do. Therefore, protein intake should be ramped up to satsify two things: Prevent muscle catabolsim, and prevent the body from going haywire and basically going into recession.(Like the good ol' USA)

For example; I'm approx 160 pounds, and on a building(bulking) cycle I'll acquire anywhere from 170-220 grams of protein a day. On this cycle(Cutting), the intake is lowered, but not by that much. 140-170 a day. Just making the requirements. Of that, 23 grams if from whey, the rest is from solid food protein sources. I used to be that guy who had 3 shakes a day. Not anymore, I find its better to get protein from solid foods. Smoundzou showed me that before, and I didn't quite listen. Now I see why he said that, and he's 100% right. Get the majority of your grams of protein from solid foods, your body will thank you.
RE: not too sure (Marc David)

It's neither.. it really depends on your nutritional ratios, calorie needs and other factors. In fact, if you end up cutting more carbs, you'll want to increase your protein and MAY end up having more whey shakes.

Although I doubt it. I only get about 20% max of my daily protein requirements from any liquid forms.

It's really neither.

I prefer to manipulation my nutrition and adjust my overall calorie intake with some carb manipulation, add in additional cardio sessions, some caffeine and green tea and use supersets in my training.
not too sure (Tylah827)

This is probably a stupid question but this is my first cut im going on, i've been on a bulk for about 4 months and just though that i should probably atleast do somewhat of a cut. So the question, is it good, bad or neither to drink whey on a cut? I'm only mixing it with water and eating a banana after the exersizes but, again, im not really sure. What do you guys prefer doing while cutting?
