(Robboe)

I find protein shakes nasty enough to drink as it is without thickening the stuff up with milk to drag the torture out even further.

I once made a shake so thick i had to eat it with a spoon. *shudder*

Using water makes calorie management a lot easier. If i wanted to use milk for the calories, i'd honestly drink it after the shake to wash the taste away somewhat.

But then again, i rarely use milk. :)

RE: whey with or without water?? (xmax126)

i deff need to try it. found it by the case online for $35 for a 12 pack. still pricey. wonder why the powder tastes so bad. 50g of protein though.

its a must that i find a good tasting protein. my daily protein intake is probably under a 100g's.

RE: whey with or without water?? (Powerhaus)

I agree, what I really love about IsoPure in bottles is it's not sickeningly sweet or overflavored...it's light and crisp, kind of shocking in a protein drink. (I like it BETTER than Gatoraise or Kool-Aide)

But yeah, it's a luxury item at $4 a bottle. But still, 40 grams of high-grade protein, and it's refreshing!

RE: whey with or without water?? It tastes like gatoraide/kool-aide. only thing is, its $4 a bottle!!!

RE: whey with or without water?? You should always get pleanty of liquid with your protein.

RE: whey with or without water?? (JayKid)

well this morning didn't have time for breakfast so shoved a whole banana (medium-large size), 2 4 oz things of strawberry yogurt and the cup of milk and the whey. Tasted even better with some more banana and yogurt lol. Was about a cup and half of a drink though... seemed to fill me up well too. The yogurts were about 10g of protein, milk is like 8ish and 10 with the banana and then another 20 from the whey, so it's a good 40g of a protein. Was a nice shake.

Anyone else have any good shakes they could share??? Just stuff to add to make it taste nice and even add some carbs and protein to it. I do rememebr reading a post on some protein shake ideas and other recipe stuff but couldn't find it when i looked. oh well.
