(Marc David)

 I'll keep it simple..

1) Read the Sample Bulk Plan
You need real food. It's true. Food is anabolic. Shakes and all that will get you so far and that's it. Real food, takes real work to utilize, and more calories to burn. You'll get some fast gains by eating 3 real meals and supplementing the other 3. Getting up at 11 am.. well.. that is a lifestyle choice based on age. It's fine. But you missed 1 real meal and 1 supplement meal. And who knows when you last ate. Breakfast is "Break the Fast" You need food.

2) Read Burn the Fat (review at least). It will simply explain nutrition to you in layman's terms.

3) You do need a post workout meal. Whey protein is best. I've tried SportPharma Just-Whey and NitroSyn.. both excellent tasting and mix easily with water or milk. Can also be mixed into a shake as well.

4) I'm 30.. it took me this long to realize that had I just eaten when I was 21 and dumped the shakes until I figured that out.. Jesus.. who knows how big I'd be now.. But since April 2003, I went from 180lbs to 190lbs.. just by eating.. Food.

Basically, you just aren't eating enough calories during your day to gain. You are supplementing your way thru maintenance. But if you truly want to gain muscle, you cannot do it the way you are now.. and if you do.. it will never be the gains you could obtain naturally, just by getting your diet in line.

There's no magic pill (well maybe pro-hormones but you aren't there yet). So powders, pills.. whatever.. real food.. supplemented by a reasonable amount of protein and vitamins.. you'll make some gains.

Then get your training down.. short, intense, recovery.. and dude.. you will soar (and be sore). You are young.. take the time to figure this out NOW not when you are 30.

New supply and nutrition help.... (tazman282)

I am pretty new to body building and still doing a lot of research on what to buy and how to use it effectivily. I am 21 yrs old working out 5 days a week, with 3rd day cardio. I am probably heading in the wrong direction due to my lake of actual meals. I am currently waking up around 11 eating 1 can of albacore tune with lots of tabasco, then taking one ripped fuel extreme 30 min before workout followed by 20 oz water with 2 scoops nitrotech then get stuff ready and off to the gym. about a 1-2 hr workout and then I make a shake of fresh frozen strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, 1/2 banana 1/2 can of pinapple and 2 scoops of pro blend 55. Then usually dinner and that is my day. My question here is with my shake for lunch I feel somwhat bloated which makes me not hungary but I know that it is important to eat natural food. I am almost done with all of the supplements that I have with moderate results. I was wondering since I am starting over what would you purchase and how would you go about using them. I am not big on the taste of the powders so that is why I make the shake which ends up to be a blender full which takes a while to drink. So I may be missing out on the post workout. So I need some help here. What would you reccommend....
