I am going to try to call and get an appontment with my ART guy. This guy is awesome, I know he can fix me all up in fifteen minutes or so. I had my fiancee atempt to massage it out for me, but she really wasn't able to pinpoint were it was... she did hit it right on the money a couple of times and it felt great!! So I am confident that someone with experience can really pinpoint it for me. Thanks again for the feedback.

RE: Left Pec (Marc David)

It's probably not serious. But if you are still telling us 2 weeks from now, then yeah.. it is. I'd get it worked on.

It's well over 2 weeks since you posted the first message.

See your therapist ASAP. Or find one closer to you since it's a bit of travel for you. Just anybody. It's like getting a haircut. There are other people closer who can probably do the job. Just find a closer alternative since it sounds like you are veyr busy and 1 hr is a bit of a drive.

RE: Left Pec (Marc David)

 That does suck man.

But as GI Joe would say--> Knowing if half the battle.

Now that you know you are in pain and it's not just going to go away, you also know what you have to do. And here's what 32 years of living on this planet has taught me. Either you take care of it sooner or the problem will *MAKE* you take care of it later.

Definitely pursue an appointment. Nothing is worse then having to go thru deep tissue massage. Well at least for me anyway. And depending on the injury and such, you might need several sessions. You'll know when it's healed.

I know you will hate this as I follow your journal daily but chill on doing anything that might aggravate it. That will only make the problem worse.

FYI, I talked to this trainer today at my gym who's had a shoulder problem. He was going light. I asked him why and he said he wasn't sure his shoulder would be up to it. It's be bugging him a lot lately. I told him again about the massage therapist right there in our gym. But he's young. 20 something. He won't go.

And so while I progress weekly, I'm sure to see him rubbing his shoulder in a week. Seems like men in general are like.. yeah it hurts but F it.

Then when you are 62 all you live with is pain?

No thanks.

RE: Left Pec (Weapon X)

I should have taken your advice when you first posted MDA. I don't know how long it's been now, but it hurts whenever I do any chest work... incline, flat, whatever... it even hurts when I do skullcrushers. It's something in the inside of my arm up near the armpit. It was really frustrating me yesterday during my chest workout, Before it was just a slight inconvienance, but now it just feels bad. My massage guy that I have gone to in the past is like an hour drive away, and I just started a new job and it probably isn't going to be a good idea for me to be taking time off this soon. I may try to get a Saturday appointment... somethings not right. Icy hot and flexall and all that stuff dosen't seem to help, even some of the anti-inflamatory meds I have. It feels the best when I stretch it out.. like standing in a doorway and holding the top of the doorway and stretching it from the angle. Freakin weird, I don't know what I did....

RE: Left Pec (Marc David)

Massage time. Not kidding. You probably pulled a muscle or something. Stressed it. Dips are a killer because a lot of people go too low. Hurts the shoulder and does not justice to the chest.

If you don't, your body will be forced to heal itself in whatever manner it has to. Let me put it this way.

I've had plenty of guy friends who are like "F that." They just heal.

And I've personally had a "oh crap" feeling. Got a massage 2 days later. Next week back to doing my personal bests while my buds are telling me a YEAR later how their shoulder still hurts.

It's probably not serious. But if you are still telling us 2 weeks from now, then yeah.. it is. I'd get it worked on. Just a general massage.

Left Pec (Weapon X)

I have had this really weird feeling in my left pec for about a month or so now. It's almost like in the armpit... doesn't exactlky hurt, but just feels all knotted up. Like it's sore all the time. It screws me up doing any kind of flat pressing because I can constantly feel it. I think that I may have originally irritated doing a high rep set of dips to the front, I was going for a few extra reps and my form suffered and I kind of wretched my left side. I guess it's nothing serious... any body have any comments?
