Do hammer curls, barbell curls as well as dumbell rows. Try working your biceps 1-2 times a week, if you really want huge muscles you need to work your whole body including your legs and back but you just want bigger biceps don't you?

Oh and by the way make sure you always have proper proper form when you lift, no moving your back or elbow.

RE: First time with building muscle (Nic)

 Pure waste of time !!
You should start reading before touching iron again...you just wasted your time !!
When you don't know what you are doing...don't do it !
RE: First time with building muscle (Jeffars)

I think 300 reps is overtraining, you'll train your endurance but no real muscle gain. You'll need to increase the weight in a couples of weeks if you want to have your muscles to increase. I'm not experienced like many folks in here, but this is what i think.

First time with building muscle (NoTearsPlease)

 Hello all,

Basically, I've got two 15lb dumbbells, and am looking strengthen my biceps. I'm not too familiar with reps/sets, and was curious that if I finished approx 300 retractions[I guess you'd call it a "pump"?] per day.. and drank whey, .. is this sufficient enough to see noticable gains within a single week?

Thanks very much
