(toolman4052)

 I know what it is for me... I hated doing legs, and I still do. The only exercises that are fun IMO is squats and calf raises... Everything else is hard work and pain for a body part I could sometimes care less about. I still do them though, and I'm happy that I do, especially on days that I don't have to

RE: 15, taking 100%Whey-> Anything else? (dylan431)

 Oh trust me toolman, I've been at that plateau right now. I'm going to start when I get back from vacation, but its going to start out light. If I see results, I'll stick with it. If its one thing I've learned from this website above all, funny in almost all my post someone comments on it, is for me to work my legs. Its not even that I'm a beginner, or uneducated about lifting, something mentally is STOPPING me from lifting my legs. I just can't quite put my finger on it.

RE: 15, taking 100%Whey-> Anything else? (toolman4052)

 I used to do the exact same thing you're doing when I first started, and I saw good results, but only because I had never lifted before. If you keep this frequency of training up for very long, you will hit a HUGE plateau.

RE: 15, taking 100%Whey-> Anything else? (MuscleMachine14)

 Running is not a substitute for working legs. You are only limiting your potential by not sufficiently working your legs, or your upper body will only get so big without working legs.

http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/Holy_crap_I_gained_30_lbs/m_270590/tm.htm

Thats a link to a thread in the training section that shows the benefits of working legs, which was he put 30 lbs on in a month once he began training them as seriously as his upper body.
RE: 15, taking 100%Whey-> Anything else? (toolman4052)

 Exactly...that's too often. Muscles need to be worked 2 times a week max...And most people do each bodypart only once a week to ensure a full recovery. With no time to recover, no growth will occur.

RE: 15, taking 100%Whey-> Anything else? (dylan431)

 Well, I mean if you think about I'm not working the same muscles more than twice a week usually. Sometimes it will overlap for a third.

M- Chest/Tri
T-Bi/Back
W-Legs or Cardio really
T-Chest/Tri
F-Bi/Back
S-Cardio
S-Chest/Tri
M-Bi/Back
etc...
RE: 15, taking 100%Whey-> Anything else? (toolman4052)

 I know exactly how you feel. I hate off days, especially when I have really good motivation cuz it seems like the more you go and the more you do, the more you'll gain, but you have to take into consideration that your body needs rest. Your muscles grow when you're not in the gym in response to what you do in the gym. Rest/off days are really a good thing even though it seems like they wouldn't be. Working the muscles nearly 3 times a week can be overtraining as well. And overtraining will stall you or even cause you to backslide.

RE: 15, taking 100%Whey-> Anything else? (dylan431)

 Yeah, I've tried to speed it up, and recently have tried a somewhat "SuperSet" workout, with no longer than a thirty second rest between sets, and no longer than a minute in between machines (with few exceptions). I get out of there an hour following.
I know for a fact with the amount of running I'm quite honestly, RUNNING/eating the muscle away on my body. I can tell it holds back my bench tremendously, and actually have felt it slip as the two days are back to back.

I'm not sure, but you know that high you get, after you go to the gym? Like for the rest of hte day, knowing you got it in? Its what I get knowing that I haven't missed a day.
RE: 15, taking 100%Whey-> Anything else? (toolman4052)

 lol

Are you seeing results from your current plan? If not or if they are slowing, it may be because you have no off days, or because you train too long. Most people like to keep it under an hour to avoid overtraining.

Besides trying to stay as cut as possible, what are your goals? size? strength? both?

RE: 15, taking 100%Whey-> Anything else? (dylan431)

 Honestly? Depending on who I lift with anywhere from, an hour to two? Although we follow the same routines, religiously, it seems as though sometimes we just end up getting carried away in conversation, not mention arguments with the six foot "mentally handicapped" guy at our gym.

RE: 15, taking 100%Whey-> Anything else? (toolman4052)

 Besides trying to stay as cut as possible, what are your goals? size? strength? both?

And to answer your question:

Creatine : I try to save money here, so I use Body Fortress Flavored Creatine Monohydrate from Walmart, lol. 10-15 bucks
Multivitamin : I'm using AST's 32X Pro Multi, but I have to chew it cuz it's huge and gritty. But if you can handle big, chalky pills, this one is affordable and has very high daily percentage values of tons of different vitamins. 15-20 bucks
Fish Oil : Natures Wonders or Spring Valley from Walmart. 3-16 bucks depending on how much you get.
BCAAs : Optimum Nutrition is what I use...again, brand really doesn't matter. mine were 16.99 for 200 capsules of them

That's a lot of supplements that will help you gain, keep you healthy, and promote growth. 50$ could pretty much get you all of it, too...

15, taking 100%Whey-> Anything else? What kind would you recommend that is highly respected? I'm very new to the supplement feild and really have no idea what types of creatine, and what not to take.
