My youngest is still nursing and you have NO idea how hard it is to find information on losing weight while still nursing. I joined a gym 12 weeks ago and have been going most weeks 3-4 times a week and I completely missed two weeks (sick kids will do that to ya). My ultimate goal- to lose 35 lbs. I am not looking at building (the old man is so I am interested in learning about it though) but I do want what I can get back of my 20 something, pre-babies body. So the goal for these last 12 weeks? To lose 20 lbs. I went about it alllll wrong. I started to watch what I was eating (mind you a nursing woman NEEDS 300-500 extra calories a day), kicked up the weight lifting and REEVED up the cardio. I would warm up, do weights then do at least 15 mins on the arc trainer. The first two months.... I didn't lose a pound. So what happens... kids get sick,I miss 2 weeks at the gym, stop counting calories and I lose 10 LBS. I figure I sent my body spinning in starvation mode the first two months. I am back to going 2-3 times a week but I am less concerned with how many calories I put into my body and we dont eat white food in this house most the time anyways.
Now..... Hopefully when he stops nursing I can cut the calories.... do I do this gradually or all at once?
And any other advice? I just want to be back at 165. I am 5'7" female with a large frame who builds muscle QUICKLY when I start lifting..... but all I want is my love handles, abs and bum back.
Thanks
