Also assuming they are new to working out and NO-Xplode was recommended by a friend or athlete or something.

Seems as though BSN does a heck of a job marketing.
RE: Less No-Xplode threads (caffeineaddict)

ORIGINAL: Marc David

This means.. there would need to be a forum category created for Supplements and then it gets broken down into forums and sub-forums.

Rather then a single forum like it is now.. it would need to be an entire category.

I don't know what the admin controls look like on the forum. Hopefully there's just a way to see all of the directories from the main page and you can just select and many threads as you want and move them with the click of a button. It would make it a lot easier to move everything related to a single topic.

Another thought: maybe it's time to start deleting some threads. If you want to condense the amount of NO-Xplode threads asking about the flavor or whatever, you can easily delete them all. They're bound to return eventually :P

RE: Less No-Xplode threads (Guest)

 Kris?

If we (Marc and I) want to pay $1,995 per year to Google we can ad search to our site ad free (which will only search 50,000 documents).

Otherwise, we can use Googles free version which does show ads.

Either we pay (Marc and I lose even more money on this forum) to get search without ads, or we don't pay and you can easily avoid the ads.

As always, just click on "Advanced Search" if you don't want to use Google search.
RE: Less No-Xplode threads (Marc David)

If you want to know why it was switched you can read this thread

And comment on the search switch there.
RE: Less No-Xplode threads (Marc David)

hey marc i noticed you trying to make money off off us..

I had nothing technically nor otherwise to do with that decision.
RE: Less No-Xplode threads (Guest)

hey marc i noticed you trying to make money off off us..
I can deal the google ads.. but replacing forum search with paid google search bar is too much.
RE: Less No-Xplode threads (Marc David)

This means.. there would need to be a forum category created for Supplements and then it gets broken down into forums and sub-forums.

Rather then a single forum like it is now.. it would need to be an entire category.
RE: Less No-Xplode threads (Marc David)

I don't want to copy this idea but they have the right idea.

[image]local://2/7E6651CE9BF2405DA4D7C4FF314D3C87.jpg[/image]

RE: Less No-Xplode threads (Marc David)

 How about...

Clearer instructionsn for posting in the Supplements forum.

Example 1: NOExplode - BSN

Easier to search and quicker to find if the posts follow a standard format.

Sub-forums based on genera produts.

Popular Products
> Protein
- directory for brands
> Fat burners
- directory for those
> Creatine

What I don't want to do is single out a brand name supplement.

There shoudln't be an NO-Explode forum.

There could be a NO forum as it's a popular product category.

It would take a significant amount of clean up and communal effort to enfore the posting rules.

No more: "Check out my boogers" as a valid supplement post no matter if it gains attention or not.
RE: Less No-Xplode threads (Carrhart)

ORIGINAL: caffeineaddict

ORIGINAL: Carrhart
Give NO-Xplode it's own little section??

Well, what I was trying to describe would be a sticky thread at the top of supplements that could be called something like "Popular Products"... anyway, it would look like:

Popular Products
> NO-Xplode
> Xceed
> and so on...

so.. the no-xplode thread would be the place to research and ask all questions for no-xplode.
