(TommyGunz)

It sounds to me like you are just consuming too much of that particular item. Cyto a great gainer, but if you are going to take up to three shakes a day, consider switching off for two of them. Make your morning and bedtime shakes whey isolate shakes (GNC's Mega Isolate is good), and use cyto only for your post. Mixing it up gives you just about the same amount of protein per shake, but less of the carbs and fat for the 1st and 3rd. The Mega Isolate is 50g protein per, and its not gluey at all since its best to mix it with water.
RE: CYTO GAINER OR MUSCLE MILK? (s1a0m1m2)

if you are looking to bulk up there is no question you want cytogainer. I was in the exact position you're in about a year ago and i took muscle milk and i didnt do much bulking. To bulk up you need to calories cytogainer brings. The chocolate malt flavor is good. I would take 1-2 servings a day and i gained some good lean mass from it. Try taking two scoops at a time, like split the servings up throughout the day. And i definitely recommend using milk with it, maybe not 2% though.

RE: CYTO GAINER OR MUSCLE MILK? (strycker)

I just bought a tub of the Vanilla Caramel flavor and its great. I am trying this in place of my standard whey (ON 100%) PWO because I don't seem to be responding all that great. Don't know if I'm a hard gainer or not, but figure one shake PWO on heavy workout days probably wouldn't hurt. I usually workout right after work and then take the shake, then eat. Do you all normally have a meal too anytime soon after having the shake? I realize it has 600 cals, so eating meal too puts me up there. I figure just one shake every other day when lifting wouldn't be too bad. I don't see a point to it on cardio days I guess. What do you think?

RE: CYTO GAINER OR MUSCLE MILK? (Brave Dave)

Its totally situation dude, like every protein, its a supplement, so you have to use it with your diet, that means, if you need massive calories, obviously go for the cyto gainer, but this will be mostly carbs, not sure, maltodextrin maybe, anyways, all those carbs = huge scoops, so you dont get to many servings, muscle milk on the other hand is made up of all sorts of diffrent peptides, to support growth, its also a {blended protein} meaning that your getting a far wider range of amino acids, not just whey. the casein, is the slowest break down, pure whey isolate i think is the fastest, theres all sorts of forms, when mixed the break down slower and feed your body longer,
also , with muscle milk, you get alot of diffrent fats, good fats that your body needs. mct's and other goodies.

i think that if your just looking for another carb gainer, go ahead and hit the cytogainer, if your looking for the other side of the chain, and get more fats, and more a extra meal between, or post work out, youll get damn good results with megamilk/musclemilk, same thing, megamilk in my opinion is way better, but thats just me. its also about 40$ a pop, but gets you 30-32 servings, 2 scoops a peice, better than that 15 from muscle milk
RE: CYTO GAINER OR MUSCLE MILK? I just followed the directions on the tub. I take one in the morn, one post and one before sleep. However, I don't use it as a "replacement" tho, I usually take it right after I down a hefty meal. I'll have to log the actual number of cals Im downing, 'cause I should be at 3500 a day and Im probably pushing that way over board with the Cyto. Good lookin out.

Take 1 scoop less to see if that works for you. Or mix 1 cup of water and 1 cup of 2% milk. That should "de-glue" it. Cytogainer is not the fattest weighgainer in the market, IMHO. It only has 2.5g of saturated fat in a 150g (4 scoops) serving. Prolab N Large 2 has 3g. Ultimate Muscle Juice has 18g (per 250g serving). Optimum Pro Complex Gainer has 3g. EAS Mass Factor has 5g. BSN True Mass has 5g. Champion Super Heavyweight Gainer has 9g (60% from MCT's, safflower and canola) in a 200g serving. Twinlab Super Gainers Fuel has 25g in a 661.7g serving. BTW, aren't you already full right after a meal? I usually take it between meals, at breakfast, before bed and postworkout. Chocolate malt tastes great.

RE: CYTO GAINER OR MUSCLE MILK? (RomeoCiaffoneo)

first off, you shouldnt be taking full servings of cyto 2 times a day. its a supplement, thats it. you cant replace half your meals and get the same results. also, take the milk out to cut down on cholesterol and replace it with water which makes it much less thick.

also, MM has way more sat fat than cytogainer.
RE: CYTO GAINER OR MUSCLE MILK? Fat
3: Best tasting stuff out there BUT its still like drinking a bucket of elmers glue. If you take it 3x a day like I do, lets just say your not looking forward to slamming down 20+ ounces of dreamy Cyto. :P
RE: CYTO GAINER OR MUSCLE MILK? Also made by Cytosport. You can buy it really cheap at www.massnutrition.com. It's about $23 I think.
