(lowredxtreme)

well i had a clicking in mine also after my car wreck ok but i also had knee pain for a while when i was younger and my mom also said it was 'growing pains" i went to the doctor and they said nothing was wrong but then it got even worse and i went do a different doctor he told me what the problem was but that he couldn't fix it cause it would just get the same way again but i couldn't deal with the cracking everytime i straightened my leg with some resistance then i went to my last doctor he told me what was wrong he said that there is cartlage on the back of the knee cap it's very hard and extremely smooth so smooth that you can't even duplicate it and when i hit it wrong it caused mine to get cracked or little spur's in it like mini fractures which cause the grinding cause when your quad tendon comes over it it catches on the part thats not so smooth so he went in and smoothed it out which the other doctor said was pointless but he was wrong the cracking is gone although they can't get the cartlage the same it is way better now it just takes quite a while before you can run and stuff after the surgery it takes about 45 min and about a 6 week recovery time if you have any more questions let me know hopefully this info helped you with your issue

RE: a "clicky" knee? (jap333)

i fell on my knees a few times

nope started the next morning, i kinda laughed at the noise lol

yes i can fully straighten it

no the only way it "locks up" is when it clicks it shifts my knee cap a tiny bit and i can feel it move and it feels so weird (not pain) i almost fall over

nope not swollen

both my knee use to hurt for about 2 years, my mom says it was just from growing
RE: a "clicky" knee? (Lynx100)

First of all Jap333, its not a stupid question at all.

1) During the game, at any point, did u injure you knee? or did you feel a twinge or a sudden bit of pain in your knee?
2) Was this clicking there before the soccer game?
3) Are you in pain know?
4) Can you fully straighten you knee?
5) Does your knee 'lock' up sometimes now when u are walking or going up stairs?
6) Is your knee swollen?
7) Have you ever injured that knee before?
a "clicky" knee?
