(muddman)

yea i wouldnt be surpised if that was muscle but twice a day for someone that just started is dumb. how long do u go each time. u need your rest. even though u might not feel sore and u think u can lift again the muscle is most likely still in the repair stage. plus u will get burned out faster goin that much and lose your drive. just calm down there champ
RE: Muscle Or bodyfat? (phatso86)

well u can figure that out by poking ur muscle and seeing how much sinks in and how firm it is

u can also tell by how much stronger u have been getting
since u been only working out for a month it wouldnt surprise me that most of the weight gain was from muscle
RE: Muscle Or bodyfat? (Aman68136)

Hello everyone, this is my first post, so nice to meet you all

I guess my first question relates to bodyfat vs muscle ratios. I just started lifting this month.. Ive gone from 133 - 142 lbs. I usually lift twice a day, but sometimes only once. So my question is this, how do you tell if you have gained bodyfat or muscle? A few of my shirts feel tighter in the chest area, but thats about it. Is it normal to gain 10 lbs in the first month of lifting?
