You might start with very light cardio like 30 minutes on the stationary bike or maybe evern walking on the treadmill (incline). This way you can burn some fat off and not worry about tapping into any of your lean muscle tissue.

Here are several more very helpful bodybuilding tips I found for adding muscle mass:

Bodybuilding Tips - Top 50 Tips For Building Muscle Mass

Best of luck!

RE: bulking and summer coming (talminator)

ORIGINAL: cpl

focus more on my sit ups lol

This won't reduce the fat in your ab area, though. Situps will work the abs, but the body decides where to burn the fat from- There's no such thing as spot reduction, or working a specific area to burn fat in that area. The body just doesn't work that way.

so will situps actually help get a 6-pack in the long run, or is it just a waste of time?

RE: bulking and summer coming (cpl)

focus more on my sit ups lol

This won't reduce the fat in your ab area, though. You probably won't lose that much muscle hwile cutting anyway.

RE: bulking and summer coming (russ222)

thanks. Its hard for most to gain muscle and loose fat at the same time. You need to choose one goal.
bulking and summer coming (russ222)

Hi I have been bulking for well over 2 months now and have seen good gains. Unfortunately due to my higher calorie intake I have gained a bit of a belly fat.

As summer is approaching I want to do some more cardio however I do not want to do so if it will damage my gains from lifting

If I try cardio on my rest days will it affect my growth overall? I would like to hear if anyone has any experience or advice on this please.
Cheers
Russ
