Will that hinder my gains since I want to get up 185? I also need to add some cardio in my training week. How do you sugest I do that? My week goes like this.
Mon > Legs, calfs
Tues > Bycepts
Wed > Sholders
Thr > Chest, try
Fri > Back, Shrugs.
I would like to start with the Gorila for a couple of days and then move up to 20 to 30 minutes to maintain. What do you think about that?

I also suggest Triceps work into one of your training days.
Linda

its there on thursday
RE: FAT -How to get rid of middle and lower stomach! I suggest max ot then go to a hypertrophy training program.
2-3 days cardio per week no more than the thrirty mins, at a moderate pace so you burn fat but not muscle.
I also suggest Triceps work into one of your training days.
Linda
RE: FAT -How to get rid of middle and lower stomach! (Italianangel)

ORIGINAL: nottoshabi

Hey guys I can use some help here. I'm 5-10 160 and want to get up to 185. I train with the Max Ot training ways. Heavy weights low reps with about 3 to 5 minutes rest time in bet ween sets. 3 sets per exercize, about 3 exercize per muscle group. But I noticed that I'm starting to get a little belly flab. My routines are mon throw fri. I try to squeze it under one hour. I also don't do any cardio. I'm a skinnie guy (well was). I have never gained flab even muslce is verry hard for me to gain. But the flab has to go. This is my eating habit:
breakfast:
3 eggs, 4 strips of bacon have chicken instead or turkey bacon low fat and nuked, bowl of oatmeal with whole milk go for skim, one tomato, a lice of goat chesse, one green onion, one slice of white bread. - non wheat, rye or mana is your best bet
3 hours later lunch:
10 to 12 oz of meat, be it pork or beef- go for poultry or fish, its leaner. This meet is mostlly baked dont like fried. I dont eat grease, but the meat is not lean. Dont like to much chicken. go for fish and turkey then
One potato, with butter, or a bowl of rice, one green salad. brown rice and salad isyour best bet to help lose the flab
A pre workout meal of a bowl of oatmeal with whole milk. skim is better
After workout meal:
Same as lunch. Usually I make about 3 different kinds of food a week. But they all consist of the same ingrediences. I like to boil or bake my food with no perservatives, or fatty contents.
Before sleep a tall glass of whole milk with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
go for lean protein, like a shake or dry cottage cheese, with almonds, brocolli.
I drink about 5, 20oz bottles of water throw out the day.

I have added some comments in red.
Linda
RE: FAT -How to get rid of middle and lower stomach! (cpl)

In order to lose fat, especially the stubborn fat from your ab area, you definitely need to concentrate on how and what you eat. Eating less is NOT the way to lose fat. It can help initially, but in the end, your body needs a certain amount of calories per day in order to function properly. If it's not getting the right amount, your body will think it's being starved, and will actually try harder to hold on to any fat it has.
In order to lose fat, you should be eating five to six meals a day made up of the proper types of food, with the right amounts of calories coming from good sources of protein, carbs and fats.
A good place to start figuring out your diet is at near the top of our nutrition forum- a post called "Calculate expenditure." In there, you'll find plenty of info on how to figure out how many calories a day YOUR body will need to lose fat. Once you've got that number, it's time to do some more work- Figure out which foods are healthiest, and find out how much of that food you'd have to eat to reach your caloric goals each day. Once you have that, split it over five or six meals, and start eating.
Believe me- This is the key to fat loss. Yes, it's a pain in the ass- There are no quick fixes here. Eating right will get you far better results than tons of cardio and weight training. Your body will learn how to burn fat all day long with the proper amounts of the proper foods.
RE: FAT -How to get rid of middle and lower stomach!
