Heat therapy for chronic injuries.

RE: i have osgood schlaughters (ironraider52)

seems like it hah...its inflammed why would u apply hear?!?!

RE: i have osgood schlaughters (veggeep)

My brother had that growing up - back when he played basketball in Jr. High. I remember they put him on crutches for a good long while.

Not to confuse things, but the advice in this article seems a tad backward. OS is an inflammation -why would you apply heat? I would think applying heat would make it worse??

Other than rest, I think anti-inflammatories like Ibuprofen are the only things that would help.
RE: i have osgood schlaughters (plant)

hahaha bright guy, in forum rules and didnt read his own linked article. This injury needs rest if it is to heal. You must only do as much exercise as it will allow you. Weight bearing exercise will make it worse. Keep your sessions few and high quality rather than train every day.
Apply heat and use a heat retainer.
See a sports injury professional.

i have osgood schlaughters (robert_99)

HI every body i have osgood schlatters wich really hurts and for those of you that dont know what it is here is a link to the page http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/front/knee/osgood.htm
How can i provent this without using ibprofen.
robert
