(Geeper)

At your weight just switching to a "clean diet" (ie very little processed foods etc) you should see results in no time. Cardio will help, but compared to changing your diet it does very little.

RE: Question about cutting weight. (too cold)

im in a situation similar to yours, although not to the extreme. over the past week and a half i managed to lose 10lbs and keep all my muscle mass. Now, im not a professional and i dont know if my method is correct, but i'll tell you what ive been doing (and anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong). First off, i take a low carb protein isolate supplement (says ISO on the jug) and have a high protein, low carb, low cal, diet. I basically read nutritional facts on food. i cut bread, pasta, and any other startches out of my diet. every morning i take a multi-vitamin, flax seed oil, and an omega 3 and 6 supplement (just to make sure i still get all that good stuff) i eat roughly 4-5 small meals a day and try to take in at least 200 g of protein every day. i make sure i eat less carbs than my body would naturally burn in a day and i do about 45 mins on an eliptical (sp?) machine every day. I also weight train approx 5 times a week. Like i said, not sure if im doing it right, but it seems to be working for me.

Question about cutting weight. (krafmatik)

I am 24 years old and weigh about 6'3 300 lbs. I've always had a muscular "frame" but i got really lazy over the past couple years and put on about 50 lbs. I've gotten really fat in the waist, hips, chest and face. My question is should i concentrate more on intense cardio to drop the 50 lbs i put on and put less empahsis on weights or should I incorporate weight training with my cardio. I went out and bought some muscle milk but after reading that it might not be good for cutting i stop taking it. (wasted 60 bucks!!). I don't have the desire to get "bigger" but i don't want to lose strength either. Should i be taking another kind of protein and if so, how should i take it? Any advice would be really helpful. thanks.
