hey all , my sister had a baby six months ago , since then the classic baby weight has occurred... she probably like 5'4 5'6 i dunno im just guessin , shes not totally short , and about 140lbs , the gym scale told her today she was 147 , she says shes 138 this weight includes colthes, and blah blah blah ,shes in denial " no scale is right "... anyway she wants my help but being that all ive done is bulk.. and mass gain , i dunno how to help her , im sure she would like to tone up and drop to about i dunno , a healthy weight , like 115 120 even i dunno.. basically all the weight is located in her ass.. hahaha and alittle gut , i was gunna set her up with a 3 day full body routine ... not sure what rep and set ranges tho. cuz i figured 12-15 reps for most stuff except her legs , shes obviously wants to lsoe her ass ... so should she go 8-10 reps or higher?. im trying to encourage this lifestyle in my family , so i want her to see some results quick so she doesnt quit , not super quick but reasonable u know. and also 2 days of cardio a week , so she works out 5 days. rests two , rinse , repeat , sound good? open to any ideas from u fit females out there and anyone else !! thanks

I am new to this too, I would really recommend buying Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle. It is a great investment.

ss396 hey all , my sister had a baby six months ago , since then the classic baby weight has occurred... she probably like 5'4 5'6 i dunno im just guessin , shes not totally short , and about 140lbs , the gym scale told her today she was 147 , she says shes 138 this weight includes colthes, and blah blah blah ,shes in denial " no scale is right "... anyway she wants my help but being that all ive done is bulk.. and mass gain , i dunno how to help her , im sure she would like to tone up and drop to about i dunno , a healthy weight , like 115 120 even i dunno.. basically all the weight is located in her ass.. hahaha and alittle gut , i was gunna set her up with a 3 day full body routine ... not sure what rep and set ranges tho. cuz i figured 12-15 reps for most stuff except her legs , shes obviously wants to lsoe her ass ... so should she go 8-10 reps or higher?. im trying to encourage this lifestyle in my family , so i want her to see some results quick so she doesnt quit , not super quick but reasonable u know. and also 2 days of cardio a week , so she works out 5 days. rests two , rinse , repeat , sound good? open to any ideas from u fit females out there and anyone else !! thanks Your plan is fine, basically. Remember if she doesn't have good eating habits all the time in the gym, is not going to matter. A complete, 3 day full body routine, is a very good place for her to start (even finish). Yes boys, with the free weights, not machines. 2 days of cardio at minimum, it would be better if she could do 3 (even if one of those days is tacked on to a weight training day. Or she could (it might be easier on her schedule, although not on her energy level), to do cardio directly after her weight work. Since she is primarily looking to drop a few pounds (and don't worry about the scale worry about her inches), you could have her do her lifting circuit style, or with very little rest, in between sets and exercises. The rep range... just keep it all the same, don't worry about 8 reps for this and 15 reps for that. You can have her.... ehhh have her start with 12- 15 as she progresses (if she sticks with it), then you can restructure the whole thing. 12-15 is a good place to get aclimated to lifting. HIIT is a style of cardio that works really well for me, but not everyone, it has it's devotees, and then there are others who prefeer the mid intensity longer duration cardio... did I answer your questions?

yes , and thanks alot for the descriptive answer , i figured pretty much the same thing , the diet will be hard to make her change , the sweet tooth runs in our family and its still hard for my to refrain from junk food , but well see , i think if she kicks the cookies and pop shes all good thats the only real junk i see her go for , thanks again!
