curious, i know that ripped fuel is there to increase slower metabolisms... but i was curious if taking them before you goto bed would be bad idea. i know they give a crap load of energy and what not, but if you take right when you lay down if they might wake ya up in the middle of th enight.. just curious if anyone else has tried this

Ripped Fuel/Ripped Fuel Extreme has ephedera, which is a stimulant, so my guess is that you would not fall asleep (it works pretty quickly), maybe it would not wake you up if you could fall asleep before it started working though. I know when I took ripped fuel in the late afternoon I had trouble falling asleep as much as six hours later.

Ephedra will definitely keep you awake if you take it before you go to bed. Back before I knew anything about supplements I made the mistake of taking it before a late workout (after which I was going to go to sleep). It did keep me awake. But who knows, you might react differently.

I think it depends on the person. Some people don't react to caffeine as strongly as others. I'm very sensitive to caffeine and would never take ripped fuel at night. I would never be able to sleep.

ORIGINAL: slayerboy For a while I tried Ripped Fuel Extreme. I would take a dose before breakfast, after work, and before bed. The only time it affected me was in the morning. I felt energetic a couple of hours after I took it and then after a while it felt like I reached a low point in energy. Kinda like the effects of coffee. My only mistake was I took it right out of the gate without measuring what I would do WITHOUT taking Ripped Fuel. Personally, I think it's all hype. I think all these fat burning supps were good when they had ephedra, now without it, I think they are 80% hype. Try it and see how you react. Just make sure you spend a couple of weeks measuring what you eat and your workouts before you take any supps. This way can create a base to judge how well the stuff works. I agree. And soon you will prove that there are exceptions.

Stick to taking during the day. I used the original, the one with the ephedra, and I was up until 4 that night. Big mistake. Now that applies to me, but I am usually not that sensative to thing that keep you up, i.e. caffeine. I just think it is best for your body to be in a relaxed state while sleeping, so as to achieve maximum muscle recovery. Laser

I'm taking ripped fuel extreme right now and although i ca as of yet see no change in my appearance or weights at the gym it's still to early to tell, i've only been taking it for a couple weeks now. What i have noticed is that it doesn't make me near as jumpy or jittery as hydroxycut did when i took it. But does it work i shall wait and see.......
