16/07/07

I ate milk, 2 sandwiches, 2 bottles of dilute juice, porridge, pasta, meat balls, yoghurt and now more milk with crackers.

hammer curl 20lbs 1 set 15 reps
hammer curl 30lbs 3 sets 10 reps (struggling with my left to get past 8, seems to be my forearm that can't cope not my bicep)

Thats all I managed to get done today, as its late right now and I need to be getting to bed now....

Your not working out nearly hard enough...  I already gave you an example of what to do though...  I mean you basically turned a whole day into biceps...  Your a beginner you should just start off back and bi's chest and tri's...  Legs + core...  I saw you attempt to pull of a back and bi day but it honestly does not look to me like your putting in much effort you keep coming up with excuses as to why you did not do this or did not do that.

Tomorrow I would be totally impressed if you actually did a good work out 3 sets of 10 too!

Chest - Floor Bench Barbell
Chest - Flys
Tri - Skull crushers
Tri - Kick backs

This is not even a hard work out give that a try 3 sets of 10 and not with some wimpy weight that you know you can throw around easily,  Actually put some effort into it.

and stop hitting your biceps soo much thats all I see over your whole journal is barbell curl this and dumbell curl that.. I mean how the heck did that happen you just started your journal.. Once a week dude.. Set routine...  If you want to pay around with the weights and get a good pump work on those biceps all the time then do it... But thats not body building thats goofing around.

Sorry if it seems like I'm not making an effort, I've had too much school work and other school stuff to workout properly. Thats the reason I said to Twisted I want to start his program when I finish school, I'm nowhere near ready to do anything yet.

I only have 60lbs total weights at home, which is pathetic but I only used them to do bicep curls before so they were alright until now.

I finish the end of this week so I'll be starting properly from next week, I have enough money to buy a 110lb weight set now so will get that next week hopefully. Then I'm going to save up for a bench and heavier weights.

I finished my main pieces coursework so I'm going to do the whole workout you gave me today.

RE: raiden's training journal need help!!!! - Tuesday, July 17, 2007 1:55 PM

bench really slow 60lbs
(max weight I have right now as I have said in previous posts)
I did 10 reps, 3 sets It was hard to finish the 3rd set but didn't push me to failure.

skull crushers really slow 10lbs
10 reps 3sets my triceps felt like they were burning up, even though its not that much weight but it still took me to failure.

flys - 20lbs each arm 10 reps 3 sets

kick backs 15lbs each arm 10 reps 3 sets

I'm crap at most barbell excersises so I'm working on my form.

IBB I'm new to most of this training wise and the weights I have are sh*t so I'm sorry if I'm pissin you off but I'm trying to start it properly now.

Can you please be patient with me I hate not being allowed in a gym and not being able to afford a decent home gym. I'm 15 so I don't have much choice or income and my parents are completely against me weight lifting so they don't help me at all.

You may see this as excuses but I worked out before without weights and I have steadily gained lean muscle since last year not much but I have gone from 140lbs last year november to 170lbs now, so I do make an effort. It will take time for me so IBB I will do the excersises now but please understand its not easy for me to keep up with your program as you are much more experienced and better at it than I am.

Front lateral raises- 1 set 10 reps 10lbs, 3 sets of 10 reps 15lbs
did to failure

Shoulder Shrugs- 3sets 10reps 60lbs
did nearly to failure may be able to do more not sure.

Deadlifts- 3sets 10 reps 60lbs
piss easy don't have heavier weights so waiting on that.

Power Cleans 3 sets 10reps 60lbs
not very hard but I felt some stress on muscles need to improve my foot work a bit though.

I ate nearly same as yesterday except half a plate full of mince meat for dinner.

dont worry, like i said, just stick to the weights, do as much as you can, and save up the money, that way you can then get more weights or a gym membership if you manage to get a good paying job, and a nice diet during the summer, bide your time my friend, youre a brilliant height and bodyfat to start bodybuilding, its just ashame you have limited resources.

As soon as you save up enough money things will start getting better for you

Haven't posted but still been lifting and eating well, I'm starting the diet part of Twisted's program and drinking milk every 2 hours when I eat.

I did triceps and chest.

bench 60lbs - 3 sets of 15

kick backs 30lbs - 3 sets of 10 I might need to decrease the weight to 20lbs as I can only get to around 6 full reps with 30lbs the rest were more like half reps

flys 30lbs - 3 sets of 10

skull crushers 15lbs - 3 sets of 10

Have a bench with a lat pull down, the thing for preacher, leg attachment and flys. The lat pull down I need to replace the cable for it but everything else is fine. I'm saving up to buy heavier iron weights.

Monday

preacher 20lbs 3 sets of 10

hammer curls 25lbs 3 sets of 10

barbell rows 60lbs 3 sets of 10

dumbell rows 25lbs 3 sets of 10

deadlifts 60lbs 3 sets of 15

Need to keep a consistent routine and diet, since its been the holidays I've been going to sleep 2 or later in the morning and getting up at 11ish. Also on Sundays I see my dad and don't tend to eat healthy or regularly because we're nearly always out in town.
I'm going to change that and start packing more sandwiches and have a proper breakfast.

Do you not have many plates right now?

Lucky. Mine doesn't have the pulldown attachment so I have to do other stuff. Bleh.

I only have 60lbs in plates and they are plastic, I'm going to buy a 110lb iron set and buy more plates each month till I have enough. And what excersises do you do instead of the pulldown attachment? because I need to replace the cable on mine.

Thanks

I do cardio with 1kg (2.2lbs) wrist weights on my arms and 2kg (4.4lbs) ankle weights on my legs now when ever possible so far I've done an hour a day (monday and tuesday) I'm not sure how far I run, its not a continuous run and I have short breaks in between.

I jog to the park, have a short rest to get back to resting heart rate (1-3min), warm up, jog one lap around the park, have another short rest jog half a lap and run up and down a hill part of the park 10 times (not sure how high the hill is but its pretty steep and is about twice as tall as the houses bordering the park), have a short rest and then jog back until I get to the last 100m when I increase my speed and for the final 50m I sprint full speed.

I'm trying to up my fitness again as I used to be a lot fitter but then had to stop going to the gym I was at.

Tuesday

bench 60lbs - 3 sets of 15

kick backs 20lbs - 3 sets of 10

flys 30lbs - 3 sets of 10

skull crushers 15lbs - 3 sets of 10

I don't get how I find 15lbs on both arms doing skullcrushers harder than 20lbs on one arm with kickbacks but somehow I do.
