Im 16 and I've been working out for 9 months now. Are my measurements good for what strength I have? should I be albe to lift more weight or am I lifting more than I should be able to do compared to my measurements. I would appreciate your opinions a lot.

someone with 14 inch arms could out bench someone with 17 inch arms. Depends on how you train

Lord they are hot though, don't touch, I advise. But you are burned, and penalised, of course overdramatise and you get the prize. I am that boy baby girl and now I will end your 9 lives.

theres this guy at my high school, he's about 6'2 - 6'3, 180lbs. fairly big guy, he's really good at basketball and volleyball. he looks big! and he isn't fat either. but for some reason he can only bench 85lbs, lol.

Those are good numbers to me. My arms are tiny... 13 1/2... but I can bench more than lots of my friends and just as much as many also, as well as curl a good amount. I do reps of 8ish with 80, but dunno what my 1 RM max is, probably about 100 or so. My arms look kinda big on my actually, because I'm only 5'4", so if I had like 15 inch arms it'd be very weird. They'd look massive... lol. But it doesn't matter how big you are, I am a lot stronger than lots of friends who are bigger than me and all that, and mostly around the same strength as many even though they have a good 50 pounds or more on me. Just gotta lift hard and you can be strong, it's not all about size. Although I think if I were 5'10" and like 170 pounds I'd be waaay stronger, but oh well. Can't change my size, gotta deal.

Your measurements aren't that bad considering your 16, just dont get too caught up with how big your arms are. If u continue lifting and take the proper nutrition and supplements you will no problem getting bigger and stronger. It takes time so don't get too discouraged. If you have any specific questions you can email me and ill see what i can do peace.

ORIGINAL: andy someone with 14 inch arms could out bench someone with 17 inch arms. Depends on how you train this is defiantly true what Andy said. 4 years ago when I was back in High school I use to make money off the teachers during lifetime sports. I bet anyone that walked in the door that I would bench 2x my weight or more then they could. Unfortunately instead of telling me good job or anything of that nature they through the money down and walked out pissed because they lost. But getting back to the main point, training means more then size. and nice stats for only being 16. keep it up.

Not bad for 16 remember that its hard to put on a lot of mass at such a young age. We'll all be able to put this monster mass on easier when we are around 24 or 25 according to muscle & fitness lol. Seriously though 14 1/2 is pretty good. If you are obsessed with the size of your arms I did a workout from muscle and fitneeses April 2004 issue with Tripple H on the front. It says you'll gain an inch on your arms in one day. Its a 6 hour 90 set workout. I felt like a madman doing it, but I did gain close to 3/4 inch doing it which made a big difference in my arms appearance. I would reccomend it to anyone needing to gain quick mass on their arms.
