Hey old navy i was looking over the mass workout for your next compeition and i was curious about how long do your workouts run cause it seems like they would take quite awhile.

Creation: I hit the gym floor Monday-Friday from 6:30 - 8:00 AM. My workout takes 90-minutes. My training partner and I are all business. We rest the required time between sets and then begin the next set or exericse. We get it done! No, "BSing." I am a retired US Navy Captain, but I'm not retired from the work place. I have a full-time job as a vice president of a major company and I am at my desk by 8:30 and work until 5:30. I also run a Distance Personal Trainng service on the side.

i see, ive been under the impression that a workout taking longer than an hour means that your test lvls start declining.

My 90-minutes includes abs work and cardio. It's not all heavy lifting. The guys who have trouble with test levels are the dudes doing three or four hours a day, or split days, with AM and PM workouts, thereby not giving the body a chance to recover and repair.

oh ok i didnt know cardio and abs was included in that 90 minutes. i really like this mass workout, would you say it would be good for me.. im 6`2, 200 ( been bulking for like 4 months and went from 170-200) the workout ive been doing is day 1 = Really heavy leg press ( the sled machine) - 4 sets, Deadlifts - 4 sets, Clean and Press - 4 sets day 2 = A chest excercise superset to back excercise for 4 sets, then dips or shoulders, then a bicep superset with a tricep mon= day 1 tues = cardio wed = day 2 thurs = cardio fri=day 1 sat = cardio if i want next week: mon = day 2 tues= cardio wed = day 1 I change the excercises on day 2 each time as well. this wokrout has worked very good so far i put 2 inches on biceps. i just think it is time for change ive been resting for about a week and a half so im ready to hit the gym hard when i get back to my home. I do want to compete on a competitive level as well. so mr old navy what you think!? And dont worry about diet i got that in check...i got the book Power Eating best BOOOOK ever for nutrition help.

It's a good plan. But, you should consider doing the plan I'm on now. My training partner is 6' 6" and weighed 270 when we started. I have him at 258 now (he is using my diet). Anyway, this plan is hard but very effective. You can copy and print Phase I and II now and the next three phases as soon as I post them. This is a 15 week plan designed to add some nice size while controlling the body weight.

good deal i think i will try it out. just to be sure tho as far as diet goes i need to be eating well over TDEE correct? this would also provide for some extra results on how well this workout works. jan 1 = sullys mass maker = here i come :) Long term goal = COMPETE by the time im 21 im 19 now.

If you are at 200 now, up from 170, I would stay there. You have added 30 pounds. It's time to harden and firm up what you have. If you work Sully's plan right, you will add some muscle and lose some fat. Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you stay where you are and just hit the weights as hard as you can, you will see some nice improvements. I absolutely wouldn't add any more weight, just to be adding weight. Work to add muscle instead.

Absolutely. If you go to my web site to my Friends of Old Navy Gallery http://www.bodybuildingsenior.com/photosfriends.htm The first athlete you will see is Dave Gallahan, Jr.. I trained Dave for his first show. He was 215 when we started. I brought him to the stage at 189.5, at the top of the Light Heavyweight Class. Dave took first in the Novice Class and 2nd in the Open Light Heavyweight Class at the 2006 NPC Atlantic USA Championship in Atlanta. This was a non-tested show and Dave is a natural (no steroids) athlete. He did what he did through training and diet and a superb contest prep.
