I agree completely.

There's just something about peaceful Simon and Garfunkle that makes lifting more enjoyable.  Definately not 'pump' music though.

I like metal for lifting but as for running anything with a beat is best. I like old school rap way more than todays crap... I should say uber popular crap. I am a fan of Lupe Fiasco, Tupac, BIG, Jay-Z (new and old), Dr. Dre (cant wait for the new album), Snoop Doggy Dog, anything from around 1990 to 1999. IMO the 90's was a great time for music. It doesn't exactly touch the 70's but its good all on its own. Maybe because I have fond memories of listening to college rock with my friends thinking we were the coolest 11 year olds on the planet but that was good music.

For running I'd go with 90's rap. Not hip hop, rap.

Random comment, but I went to a talent show tonight and these two girls that looked like they were barely in high school were in these nice dresses and played an acoustic version of "Tears Don't Fall" by bullet for my valentine, it was pretty sweet

 I like that song.

Actually I happen to love that video too.

The solo from the song Disappear on their new album is tits too.
