This really isn't a journal...well it kind of is I guess. Its more of a picture journal if anything. im about 1 months into my "cut". 2 weeks if im counting when I started smoundzou's advice which has helped a whole lot. Doing some kind of cardio at least 6 times a week, sometimes 7. I have been incorporating tabata into my routine on off days. We have been getting one hell of a snow storm here in cincy the past few days, and the gym was closed yesterday :( but Ill update this thing maybe once every week/2 weeks with new progress pics. Im also piecing a time line together in photoshop that I will post at the end. My goal is about 210-205 right now. Im currently 221ish. So ive lost about 14 pounds already. So...hungry...haha

however long it takes me to get to 205ish around that area. The main goal of this however is to get most of the lagging fat I have had on me for years now, especially around my Chest. My body is weird I wont steadily lose weight...Ill stick around a number for a few days now, and then drop then stay at that one a few days and drop some more. Im definitely eating well below maintenance and add on all the cardio. But while the weight is not steadily coming off I am seeing changes in the mirror, Its not possible to be gaining any kind of muscle right now but it almost seems like thats whats happening. Going to weigh myself tomorrow and will hopefully be around 219ish break in the teens. The 5rm on the TM are getting harder and harder, with my lack of carb intake + cardio. o yeah, go arizona!

When it comes to me, im always having bouts of low self esteem. even though I look much better then I did over a month ago, I still dont like the way I look very much. Im really hoping this cut will get me down to where I do feel better about myself. Thanks for the kind words :) *I want to get to the point where people notice other parts of my body as well...I love my legs, but I need to bring up the upper body/core. Im thinking this 219-210 is going to be a real pain. but then im sure getting from 210-205 is going to be hell for me...ha. thehardway Nm0ney34 im on probation...rofl... cant even post an avatar atm. i feel like writing about my progress so far, dunno im in a writing mood. This wednesday will be 6 weeks, 4 if your counting when I got serious. My calorie intake has been pretty steadily around 2,000. To keep the fat going faster I have started doing 2 cardio sessions each day, and the one in the morning is a little less then 3 miles now. Ive stuck around 218 for a few days im going to weigh myself tonight at the gym and see where im at now. The fat/gyno thing around my chest is going down. I think i thought it might have been a gyno problem, but just fat stored there ever since I was a little over weight. at any rate it is steadily going away, and hopefully when I bulk up again wont return...well shouldnt if I keep my bf% low enough. for being on a cut like this my strength is suffering but not as much as I thought it would. Biggest thing Im noticing is lack in my bench. everything else is strenuouse at lower weight but doable so far. I know its the low glycogen and lack of carbs. as far as my meals go they usually go 4-6 meals a day depending on work and stuff. breakfast is always oatmeal, 2 slices whole grain bread with some butter. my next meals usually consist of things like: almonds tuna/olive oil cottage cheese milk protein bars (not often but cant always get real food) chicken lean beef (rarely, maybe only had it twice so far) broccoli yogurt and thats pretty much all I have eaten. I do have a cheat meal every week which even when I cheat its still fairly good for you in terms of cheating. to give you an example: one week I had some sushi for a cheat meal. Yes white rice is cheating to me. plus the raw salmon/tuna is great and a good protein source. for the past 2 weeks ive had chipotle for 1 meal. I get a burrito bowl, rice, black beans and steak with just lettuce...again big cheat thing here is rice... but all together its about 550ish calories, high sodium though. Ive never been this serious this long...but im forcing myself to keep going cause damnit I know what I want and im getting it. I guess you could say I could be more serious and leave out the cheat meal every week...but... I dont think it hurts that bad.

ok, well here is me week 6...or 4, but we'll go with 6. im 217 now. I also took measurements cold, and I have lost a lot of thickness especially around my arms and legs. my arms are barely 16" cold flexed now, and my legs are only 25" cold flexed. My chest has stayed around 44" and my waist is 34". Im starting to wish my arms were in fact a little bigger now... something I have always had trouble with. Ims tarting to think that my genetics aren't THAT bad anymore now that im starting to see things more, my lower body still trumphs my upper, and I would like to balance them out. this is about my 1/2 way point, I gave myself 3 months to get where I wanna be... so hopefully this next 1/2 will be just as productive. o well, things are going pretty good, so damn exhausted from all the cardio though...

well here is week 7. I did more cardio last week then any other week, diet stayed the same calorie wise, around 2,000 and I managed to put on a pound. I weighed myself yesterday and im at 218... all though it still looks like the fats coming off...im kind of stumped as to how I have gained a pound...but even more so that I didnt drop any with all the cardio I did. Been nursing my ankle, and it seems like its not as bad of a sprain as I thought, I am already walking on an incline at the gym. around 3.5 speed, no impact running yet. Im going to go walk for around 1 hour or so on that incline and if all goes well tomorrow I will try some eliptical. If I had to guess I would say its around 70-75% right now. anyway heres a pic of me at 218 week 7...sorry didnt do a more full body shot, but my legs are already pretty well built, need to focus on the upper body and its changes. Ill post a back shot as well. yay no more moderator attention for my posts! haha

Hey don't worry so much about the weight. Do you have a cloth tape measure? The best way to track what you're doing is to track your waist measurement.
