Hi, everyone.I heard that pro complex is not a fast acting protein but instead its a combination of 3 different types of protein. Thus,is it a good protein?Or its not worth getting taking into consideration the ingredients.

I was the one who wrote that and I didn't intend for it to be interpreted it that way. It is a great protein source and would be a great choice to buy. However, different types of proteins have different places. Whey after workout because of it's quick digestability. Whey in the morning during bulking and maybe cutting because of lack of nutrition over night. Casein before bed on a bulk and maybe on a cut if it works for you. However, mixed proteins such as Pro Complex are great for mid day meals and especially during cutting. The BCAA consumption during cutting to preserve muscle loss by feeding the body with a constant supply of amino acids is virtually the same idea as a mixed protein. In the beginning after consumption, the body will digest the fastest protein, usually whey. Then it will finish up with the egg. Then the Casein. It will digest all at the same time but by taking longer for the egg, and even longer for the Casein, the nitrogen balance may remain high for an extended period while still quickly supplying aminos. I would personally suggest using Whey immediately post workout and maybe Pro Complex in the meal following, or the meal after that. Food however is a great source of protein and should be sought after too. Hope this essay helped you. No offence but, do you speak english as a second language? If so, you pick up on ideas very well! I just want to know because I may be able to word it more clearly. I believe it is common in Singapore to speak a language that is considered a mix of English with one of a few more native tongues. Is that correct?

It would work better as a pre workout since it takes longer to digest. I'd say about 45 minutes before the workout. As for the expiration, it is not true. They put that on there but it lasts a lot longer. In stable foods they just put it on there because they have to. Candy for example has an expiration date. I have eaten halloween candy from 5 years prior many a time and it tastes like new. It barely becomes denatured and is just about as good as new. As for the english, it is intriguing to me how different culures mix languages with eachother even today. That is how many languages developed originally, from latin and german. I find it very cool.

As I do not care for NO supplements, I really know nothing about them. And if you want an answer on that I'd make a new thread in the main supplements forum because i doubt many people will see it here
