is there like certain things i should and shouldnt be eating the day before and the day of a big track meet??

Fruit, salad, carrots, nuts, water day of. Heathy pasta and chicken or fish day before. The pasta will give you lasting energy for the next day as meets can be long. Light foods so that you don't feel heavy or "yucky" for your events. You also don't want to eat anything that will make you want to ralph after heavy exertion i.e. chinese food, burgers, milk, anything heavy, creamy, sauce.
