I also posted this in the "nutrition" section but figured I'd try it here as well.  Don't worry I don't make a habit out of posting the same threads in multiple forums.  I have some questions I am hoping some of the more knowledgeable fitness people here can answer for me. What sort of snacks or meals are good to eat before lifting weights (let's say you lift for an hour)? What sort of snacks are good to eat after lifting? For the pre-workout meals, how long should you wait before lifting? And how long should you wait after lifting before eating the post-workout meal? Also, how effective is caffeine consumed before a workout and how long should you wait after consuming it before beginning the workout? Thanks in advance for all replies!

Well i always have a small snack like 20 minutes before a workout.  Like an apple or a protein bar.  I know people have posted subjects like this before on here and mayabe you can look at them since people have posted lots on them already.  Before i started posting things on here i made sure i read alot first.  Well goodluck!

quick healthy snacks to boost your protien level, and overall level are good to do...as stated above...

Now, if your on creatine...eat a good amount about an hour to hour and 1/2 before you start working out and use the rest of that time for the food to start or if you have a holy crap fast metabolism and get hungry in 30 minutes after eating a christmas dinner like me, then an hour is good....take your pre-workout creatine 20-30 minutes before working out and have at it with the weights...
