pre workout? Mass stack?
-
Saturday, July 19, 2008 11:06 PM
Anybody found a good pre-workout supplement to get you pumped up and wanting to lift? Lately I've been feeling like I just dont want to lift, kind of a slump I guess. I go and push myself anyway, but used to do better when I was pumped up and energized to do so. Also, I started a new mass stack consisting of Methyl-V Test, Vaso-Test, and ProZMA, I've done my own research but anything know anything about it? Thanks alot.

You may just be in need of a break, from supplements, from training, or both. Your body gets used to having the supplements in it and builds a tolerance to it, just like it will do for booze or coffee. And training can indeed get boring if you do the same thing all the time. Perhaps it is time to try some outdoor training, or a bodyweight circuit just to mix things up for a while. I have always found preworkout supplements to do an excellent job at pumping me up, but they need to be cycled on a monthly, or even weekly basis. Some people use a heavy all the time workout schedule and take supplements all the time, others use a heavy week, with supplements, followed by a lighter week without them. The body is great at figuring out trends, so it is best not to give it one to learn. Mix it up.

agreed. I say take a month off of all supps other whey, Multi's, and casein. And take some time off from training 3-4 days, or just do some unconventional training for a bit, or just do cardio.

yes pre workout supps can give u some added energy in the gym but they can also burn a hole through ur wallet and once u come off of them u will not feel very good at the gym for afew days. i used to use preworkout supps but i have realizd that they are a tota waste of money and they are not needed. and if u dont cycle them then ur body gets used to it and they become a placebo!

I have used the mass stack before excluding proZMA and it is some good !@*&. However, the side effects from taking the two together is brutal. My body weight went up by at least 10-11 lbs. My strength gains were incredible and it was quite addictive to feel like you could lift almost anything. The only problem is that since your stacking 3 methylated oral steroids and doubling one of them, there is a high possibility you'll get not only positive side effects but, negative ones as well. What do I mean? Well, let me go down the list: hypertension (hi blood pressure) excessive nose bleeds high LDL and low HDL levels high triglycerides calf pumps aggressiveness acne back pain (stress on the kidneys) liver toxicity Unless you're willing to pay the price for size and strength, don't bother taking this stuff. Alot of guys who are on designer steroids, prosteroids, prohormones, hgh, igf-1, ghrp-2 and 6, etc., know that with the good comes the bad. Sure, this stuff will bust your plateaus and then some but, be sure to do your research on these drugs before you start taking them. Oh, by the way, if you do decide to do this cycle, make sure to go through a extensive post cycle therapy involving AIs or test boosters or SERMS. I'm not saying that you shouldn't do it. Hell, I'm on vaso-test right now and lovin every minute of it. Just make sure you know what your doing and how to plan for what possible could develop while on your anabolic cycle as well as off the juice.

I thought this mass stack was a test booster, am I incorrect? Since ive been off of it (just finished the ZMA, ive noticed a slight loss in size ( but some things got in the way of my training for a week or so so im chalking it up to that). what are AI's, and SERMS? I know what test boosters are but not sure of the others. I work at GNC, so im starting to learn alot but have a long way to go. Will test boosters and IGF-1 mess you up bad if you take something to help liver, kidney, and prostate function? such as milk thistle( for the liver) and something for the prostate? thanks for the info..
