post surgery remedies

Last year, about july 04, I broke a small bone in my left wrist called the scaphoid. This is the most common broken bone in the wrist, and takes the longest to heal, if it ever does. I didn't know I had broken it, because it just ached and I thought it was just a small sprain. After I found out it was broken, I had a cast put on it but I had it taken off in a few days because I couldn't take it and felt claustrophobic. On November 14th, 2004 I had surgery done to put a screw in the bone to join it back together. January 3rd, 2005, I was finally able to take the splint off and use my wrist again. Now, it's been more than a year since it has healed, but I am starting to get aches in my wrist once in a while. It lasts a few days and goes away. I'm pretty sure it is arthritis, because the doctor told me that I will probably have arthritis in my wrist before and after the surgery was done. My questions is, is there any remedies or vitamins/minerals that I can take to help the arthritis to diminish or to go away completely? I will be purchasing some fish oil tablets soon because I heard it can help with arthritis. Thanks for any help.

unfortunately, your best bet will probably be anti-inflammatories. Icing it, gentle stretching, warming up before doing weights or exercise, passive resistence will all help.
