Hi, im in highschool and I have a somewhat bad body... Im not fat, i have some chunk and slight man-boobs....and i just wanna slim down and get rid of both... I used to work out ALOT and my body never changed, I then realized that my diet was terrible and not helping... i have a layer of fat before my abdominals but i feel like if i could get rid of this layer i would have a pack easily.... Its affecting the way I feel... I wish i could just go to a friends hosue and take off my shirt and feel great... thats my dream... Diets somewhat hard for me but this time i am very willing to tone down... I wish to know what excericise i will need to do...I weigh about 140-144 pounds and I am a little over 5'9... I hear that i have to burn more calories then i consume and other stuff... My Goals: -Lose man-boobs -Get rid of the fat on my stomach so i can make a pack show up -To just lose fat in that overall area and be slim... I was willing to do anything before... I tried, although I cant, to puke after meals but i could never get it to work right... but i have realised this doesnt work, and that i need to be healthy and get proper diet... I am asking for feedback, motivation (heehee), and just some insight... Maybe i can keep a log on this post or something...PLZ HELP ME! I AM TIRED OF SUCKING IN AND PEOPLE GRABBING AT MY CHEST! p.s. maybe i can post pics or something?

What is your diet or do you just eat three meals a day? What is your work out and what do you have access to as of weights/gym/machines? Post pics also so we can give advise. I am pretty sure that all of us here at DB can help you. Wolverine

You should be bulking at 140 lbs. However, do a half hour to an hour of cardio exercises like running, speed rope, etc to minimize and reduce fat levels. Do these once or twice a week. To bulk up, you need to focus on doing 3 free weight lift, bench press, squat, and deadlift. Other good exercises are tricep cable pushdowns, close grip bench press, incline dumbbell curls, and dips. I do a 3 day split. Monday: Chest, triceps, abs. Wednesday: Legs, Shoulders. Friday: Back, Biceps, Abs. Have a trainer or experienced friend show you proper form. You need to get atleast 8-9 hours of sleep each night. At your height and weight, you should be taking in about 3000 calories a day, with around 150 grams of protein. Bench press will make your chest harder and make you look more muscular. This, and proper cardio will probably solve your "man-boobs". I am a similar height as you. Ive gained considerable size through a focus on proper nutrition and sleep. For the first few months, my training sucked, but my diet and sleep were great. As a beginner you will probably gain a good amount of muscle in just a few months.
Squat 385, Bench 235, Deadlift 450 @ 181.
