i know you need sufficient rest after high intensity lifting for each muscle group (~4-7 days), but would it be helpful to work the same body part twice in a day?

ex: i have regular morning lifts for wrestling on mondays and fridays. i feel i do not get the workout i want in the morning, would it be a bad thing to do the same workout in the afternoon (higher intensity, though) considering i supply my body with sufficient protien/water throughout the day and ample sleep will be had that night?

Sounds like you answered your own question.

If you feel like you're wasting your time in the morning workout you should just skip it all together and then hit it hard in the afternoon or the evening.

i would skip it all together but it's kinda required to lift with the team...so i don't know.
thx for the reply, though :)
