heh, im working on dropping the fat, been eating at a deficit for the past 3 weeks or so, going pretty well so far. just a couple hundred to 500 under on a regular basis, not low carb either. Im thinking of trying keto here in a few weeks but im worried about my energy levels and strength gains, because im still pushing some solid gains even though im eating below maintenance.
The whole idea behind this was I felt like I was at a pretty good point physically, I just wanted to hear what other people had to say.
Im actually planning to head in the direction of more oly lifts. Once I get done with this Madcows, I will be doing something tailored more for football. involving front squats, more cleans etc. I do not know my vertical, I know I can almost dunk a basketball but that doesnt tell me too much. When I ran the 40 yd dash about 2 years ago, I ran my first one at 4.6 and second one at 4.9...not spectacular, but 2 years ago I wasnt in the shape im in now I was just lighter, I believe I was around 190 when I played for that semi pro team back then.
thing is I have always had a fairly big/strong looking frame regardless of how much I weighed, more on the lanky side back then though. I played tight end back in high school and tight end for that semi pro team, at 190, I played as a receiving tight end.
now my goal is to hit a 4.5 before I go in for spring walk ons. I want to get my vert, 40 and height tested here pretty soon and keep progress of those just like I do strength gains...Im starting to think im closer to 6'2" especially with my shoes off.
in general im a pretty good athlete, im quick and fast especially for my build and weight atm, always have been. I have good hands, and even on defense I wrap people up well...
but everyone is right, im really going to have to focus on my speed.
sadly I dont know many people who are serious about lifting weights, or even have goals like mine. I feel stupid when I tell people I want to walk on to the football team, most people are negative...not many but I have gotten a few you wont ever make it's. I honestly wish I knew some of you in real life and could lift with you guys, haha.
anyway thanks again guys.

We need numbers not a picture lol. There's some huge guys that would suck at football because they dont have the attitude or they're just not naturally strong or quick. Ex. most bodybuilders.
WR? Id drop all of tha fat and get my oly/squat numbers up (just talking about weight training not sports-specific). Do you know your vertical?
