alright, so im satisfied with all my lifts, but does it seem weird than my deadlift is greater than the rest of my lifts (squat and bench)?

Not really. I mean everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. Like my squat sucks in comparison to my bench and powerclean. Everyone is different. Don't worry about it and just make sure that you lift hard and make gains. Hope this helps. -Kyle EDIT- And by the way, a 180lbs bench press at 131 lbs doesn't suck.

No, its not weird at all. For most people, if not all, deads and squats are usually their greatest lifts.

Deadlift is my highest too, deadlifts and squats make use of the most muscles and the strongest muscles so they're almost always past the bench press.

Man, I gotta start doing squats and dead lifts with light weight, I see all of you go to 200 pounds, is it actually that easy or what? How long you guys have been doing squats/dead lifts to get to this weight?

Deadlift is my highest too, it is normal to have a high deadlift, your back and legs contain powerful muscles so its logical to have most strength in the deadlift

How long you guys have been doing squats/dead lifts to get to this weight? Well, considering I weigh 213lbs, most of the strength was natural. But, I find I improve strength and size by going with incredibly heavy weight that makes you wish you were dead. But, I wouldn't reccomend doing squats without a spotter, I had a nasty incident with that once, injured my ass and couldn't do them for 2 weeks.

How long you guys have been doing squats/dead lifts to get to this weight? When you start it seems impossible, but once you get the motion down you can pile 20-50 more lbs on. Then you can expect to add at least 10lbs a week to squats/deadlifts for your first month or two then it plateaus and begins to depend on diet and training intensity.

haha what DA said too. Rus_kid i wouldnt suggest stacking on ****loads of weight for either exercises just yet. Even if you could do it you need to get the form correct, deadlifts gain mass and are perfectly good using the "sumo" starting point. In other words you go down to a squatting position similar to a sumo, keeping your back straight and looking ahead. You then lift the weight via starting to raise your legs and then driving the rest with your upper back, nearing the point where you only have around 6 inches to go, you drive it up with your lower back, and stick your chest out making sure your backs straight. This is the way i do it and have managed to do weight i never thought possible of me at the time, and it is safe, ALWAYS keep the back straight. I would suggest just doing the bar and getting the form correct. Add 10lbs, do it again Add another, and keep doing it for 3 reps each time you add 10lbs this is not a routine btw. Get someone to watch you, and when they start noticing your form slacking-stick to around that weight, maybe 5lbs below it, as thats your max training weight with good form, possibly max 1 rep. Just like bench when everyone first starts, you need balance, usually the bars going everywhere first time, its similar to squat and deadlift of how you position yourself etc. I have improved my squats and deads by mere better positioning and better balance. now all thats in my way is strength. As for squats do the same thing, you will be surprised how easy it is to overestimate a squat you think you can do, and believe me this has only happened to me once, but if you do squats properly (going parallell to the floor or bum nearly on the floor) and you end up getting stuck-its not a nice feeling. Luckily for me my adrenaline kicked in and i actually managed to get back up with extreme ease....Goes to show how much strength ive got if i ever need it LOL. Many videos are on the internet on how to do them 2 exercises properly. Anyone can get into the 200 region on these exercises quite fast if not straight from the beginning. I'll be hitting the 200's for deadlift this wednesday (198lbs technically but still, nearly 200) and 200 for squats in around 3-4 weeks time. Only a month of training is needed, even for a skinny 153lbs 6'0" guy like me who so far only has around 3 real weeks under his belt.
