No, its a good question.

Insulin resistance builds up slowly over time.  Disease does not happen over night.  There are many factors that go into these things and perhaps you are fortunate not to have other precursors.

Another guy I know with a similar diet to yours was just saying the same thing the other day- he's 19.  He lifts, wrestles, plays other sports, he is a brute.

Then he suddenly had to be rushed to the hospital.  He almost died.  He now has insulin dependant diabetes.  His body can no longer produce insulin.  So he has to check his blood glucose levels all the time, give himself shots...

While I don't wish these things on you, and I hope your genetics can resist these trends...non-the-less...the effects of eating a sub minimal nutrition diet have been well observed and documented.

You can wait and see if anything goes wrong, or you can change now and avoid the nonsense that comes of it.  When things go bad, I always hear people say, "I wish I had listend to you started earlier."  My friend said that.

It is your life.  You educate yourself, and you make your decisions.

Most people my age have not so good health and vitality.  I have not seen a doctor in over 20 years for any ailments.  Ask Old Navy, the 67 year old competitive bodybuilder on this site how it was for him...how it is now having the vitality and health he has now.

I hear your resistance.  If you are getting the results you want from your training with your current diet...things are maybe acceptable, if you want something more, you have to do something different.

dude .. your diet BLOWS. a 5 year old left alone in a house for a month could probably prepare a better diet plan then what you have listed.

I think the key point here is to recognize the honest reaction to your diet you just got from some people who are serious about their training and results.

That is, the reaction from people who are getting the same results from their training as you say you want.

Think about it.  I want to see you achieve your goals in a healthy way.

Tell you what, when I gain a pound of muscle...I can feel it and see it.

When we gain fat..usually it is distributed over the body and throughout the muscles...so it is harder to see, we just know our cloths fit differently.

When we have a sub par diet, the body metabolizes (burns up) muscle to make up for the shortage and to slow the metabolism and then starts storing fat.

You know what you need to do to put on muscle and make it noticeable.

That is great...baby steps to a better diet.

Unfortunately, just having enough protein is not enough....though it is a good step.

in 10 weeks of training i have gained 11 pounds on this current diet ... i cant really notice too much and its really bugging me

Your issue if I understood it is that you gained weight and you can't really see the muscle?
Maybe it was not muscle?

Having a high amount of sugar in your diet can cause more of your consumed calories to be stored as fat.
Also having too few calories from carbs could cause your body to use the protein from muscle for energy.
Additionally if your body does not have all the nutrients to support optimal muscle building and fat burning, it may not be doing a very efficient job of it.

So, keep training smart and working on adding more healthy foods in exchange for some of the foods you have now!

You are moving in the right direction!
