kk so i am looking for some general help anyone can offer for my situation. i am 18 years old 6'1 and i weigh 165 pounds i have a lean body type as i have always been involved in sports and i have a very high motabolism. i have began to become interested in wanting to gain muscle size and strength. for the past month i have kep a routine where i workout hard every monday wednesday and friday focussing on all upper body workouts using dumbells and barbells. on each of the off days i focus on my cardio running using an eliptical machine and abdominal focusing. I finish off each of my workouts with a full meal and i have been trying to eat as healthy as possible. since the routine has started i have seen little to no results in size building and am looking for any tips. thanks a lot

Calculate how many calories a day u need to maintain ur body, then add 500 to that and eat away. U can eat clean/healthy if u want, but as long as u have a decent protein/carb/fat ratio u'll be ok. combine this with a good workout which includes squats and deadlifts, and u can gain 1-2 llbs of muscle per week i think. if ur a complete noob maybe no-one has told u that u need to progress and lift heavier each workout or session or watever suits u
After a few months: Weight: 177lbs 6 reps Deadlift: 300lbs Squat: 240lbs Bench: on hold. Rotator cuff injury
