How much water is retained vy using creatine in the muscles? (now for the story: I had a friend from high school tell me that he took creatine and it helped him get stronger, but it held alot of water in his muscles and made his arms look flabby [even though he was obviously pretty strong]) That being said, i dont want to loose my cut physique that i recieved from long distance running for years. so, are his results typical?

And i was also thinking about taking no explode, but when i was searching around, i noticed alot of people complaining about massive bathroom runs. Im thinking this would not be too great of a thing to be happening whil at work, so would lower doses of no prevent this?

No he doesnt know what hes talking about is the problem. Creatine makes oyur muscle cells draw in water for volumization which is different from water retention. The water draw is an effect of cell volumization which is good because that means growth and recovery. Creatine EE should only make your muscles harder if nething.

hm, the bathroom runs you are talking about could be simply a case of not drinking enough water.  I am on No-Xplode and i drink at least 120 fl oz of water a day while on it.  Remember to pound the water while using stuff like that.

ok, i just went to the local drug store, and they had 2 types off creatine (ordering off the internet isnt realy an option right now, so its up to these two)

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000A179QW/sr=1-3/qid=1138828604/ref=sr_1_3/102-5188451-3002557?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance

and another creatine product made by weideri believe it is....both products are 19.99, so price isnt an issue. which is the better one (or which one would you get?)

check the label and compare the grams per serving. I would also check to see if both of them have a loading stage, because if one doesn't then its prob crap or a lie.

Thanks for all of the help. Just one tny more question. I ended up buying Wedier's creatine monohydrate. and on the label, it says i should load up for 5 days by taking it 4x a day....and from my schedule, i realised i could only take it 2x, possibly 3x a day (but i dont think i can manage 4). Will there be any down side to this? Also, i just found out that there is a GNC in a city close to where i live, so when this stuff runs out, ill be able to buy some better stuff :P Again, thanks to everyon who has helped me so far

with your schedule, you shudve bought Cellmass.  sure it might be 40bucks a pop, but no loading, no cycling, and the arctic berry blast is a very good flavor.  also, creatine ethyl(spelling?) should be much better then monohydrate in terms of muscle repair.  other ingrediants in cellmass make it good too, like glutamine akg and cinnulin-pf.

Yea i kind of regret getting this type  because its kind of a pain...oh well, i just got a raise ( Smile ), so maybe ill buy some cell mass in a couple of weeks.

Anyways, last question about creatine, i promise Smile. On the creatine instructions, it says i should take it immediately following workout. but this is also when i take my protien shake (and i've heard that they will both fight for absorbtion and make both useless. So how should i take it? (i lied one more question also, is it ok to take creatine with just water? it also says on the instructions to take it with apple or grape juice, but im not too big of  a fan of either of those [i like apples and grapes, just not apple and grape juice Smile])
