i kinda think that 15 lbs in 6 weeks is a little much... maybe like 2 or 3 pounds maybe imo. but i guess if you are growing, lifting, and eating more like when your sixteen (like me) you can make gains like that, all though i havent yet = /

You have fallen for the Muscletech marketing hype. You'd be lucky to gain 15v pounds from Anabolic Androgen Steroids. Nitrotech is PROTEIN, nothing more. And its overly priced overly expensive protein at that.

muscletech is a joke. they prey on newbies. they claim nitrotech is so much better than regular whey. check out the ingredients, about in the middle. yes, there it is: CREATINE MONOHYDRATE. why dont they say this in their 50 pages of advertisements in all the mags? because everyone would know they are a scam, thats why.

15 lbs in a year is awesome! In 6 weeks? 15 lbs of what? Surely not muscle. Hype. You gotta make outrageous claims to sell more of it to pay for the 7 pay "info-tisements."

No kidding! The best protein for the buck is Optimum Nutrition. Save your dough on protein bro. Your paying for their advertisment not the product. Also if their outrageous claims they make in there ads were true, you'd have to have a prescription to buy it.

Optimum protein is cheap but taste like crap, if your hardcore I guess it doesn't matter. If you are a mainstream newbie and taste is a factor go with muscle milk or N Large2

I like the way Optimum tastes. The choc mint is just lovely. Choc ain't bad, and the vanilla goes great in my oatmeal. Muscle milk is very good tasting but VERY high in fat.

Ah it's okay. Not all proteins are the same... I found Optimum to be like Keystone beer in College.. Good while I was there. But now I'm 31.. old.. I want better world class beers and I want better proteins (not necessarily taste but quality). We're talking taste so I'll stick to that.. I don't find Optimum bad.. but I like NitroSyn and Just-Whey better. But Optimum, taste-wise, is okay. When I used it about a year ago, it also mixed quite well.

Marc, are you implying that Optimum is not a quality protein? Where do you get that from, I seriously beg to differ.

I never liked the way Optimum gave me stomach issues when other proteins did not. Personally.. I experienced a lack of quality. And I had a few jugs. Now you aren't saying that all Whey proteins are created equal are you?

Of course not. I believe that Optimum is about as good as anyone. Unless you get top quality bulk proteins for free.

Optiumum has the best whey blends. They use hydro and isolates the fastest digesting proteins out there. For whey thats what you want. Whey protein after all is fast digesting and thus doesnlt last long in the blood stream, compared to casien proteins.

I shopped around and ended up deciding "ultimate nutrition prostar protein" was the best bang for the buck, (22 g per scoop) had the low carbs happenening, and this was one of the few companies that I could find that had a "natural" flavor ie: NO FLAVOR ADDED! that is important to me; I want my protein to be just that - protein. I'll take care of adding flavor in the fruit or other things I add to my shake - or maybe I'll sneak protein into my oatmeal, or into pancakes or something, point is - I don't like the "fake" flavors they TRY and add... best to get it plain and go from there. just my humble newbie opinion.

Have any of you tried Beverly Products? I've found their protein products to be very good.

Most of the posts about Beverly products have been positive that I've ever seen elsewhere. Doesn't seem to be as mainstream (doesn't mean anything really) so my view from other posts and places is neutral to positive. Not sure what the costs associated with those products are.
