nitro core 24

So someone posted this stuff being on sale at gnc, so I bought a couple and have tried it out, its ok but don't think I like it that much. Anways my point of this post is this. Did anyone else notice it has like 14g of carbs per serving? I was thinking it would be a good before bed protein because of the multiple proteins and slower absorption than whey. I noticed the 5g of fat which is fine, but just don't forget the carb content on your protein if you don't want to be getting carbs.

one chocolate 6 lber and a vanilla 6 lber, the vanilla was actually good surprisingly. It was half off so 35 bucks each plus 10% off so overall not a bad price.

Flavor is overly rich. I dunno, I just don't think it is a good before bed choice anymore especially if you take 2 servings that is a lot of carbs and with milk even more.

It has a decent amount of fiber in it which should slow down absorption some. 14g of carbs (56 calories) is really nothing. That is like eating a cup of cottage cheese or drinking 10oz of milk before bed in terms of carbs.

true but lets say I do two servings plus the milk up to 42 g carbs, which is enough to make a difference before bed, anyways I'm sure one serving is fine, just didn't realize it had so many carb sbefore.

It is not necessarily just a before bed protein though. People see casein and think that it is only made for before bed or in the morning because of its slow absorption. Not true. The blend is perfect for before a workout to keep you fueled throughout. A lot of protein manufacturers are starting to introduce blends into their lines instead of just the straight whey that everyone is used to. The blends are far superior.

Whey hits peak absorption rate the quickest but by mixing it with other types of protein you can get a steady absorption rate over a long period of time and well as still getting the quick absorption through whey.
