hi, my name is corey, im 22 and i just joined the forum in hopes to better my knowledge of body building and to actually put it to use. i have always kept up with cardio and basic exercising ( push-ups/crunches/etc) and now i would like to accomplish more.. - gain muscle and overall body mass ( i am 160lbs and would like to reach 185-190 ) - increase strength significantly in my major muscle groups correctly - and lastly learn to eat and supplement correctly. ( what can i stack/what food to stay away from/etc ) seems to be a lot of tips and sources in this forum... i hope to learn a lot thanks

I strongly recommend that you actually look into a step by step course to learn everything you need to know before you start your program and end up wasting a lot of time and effort. But Here are the basics you need to know: 1. Train with max intensity and progression. - lift as much weight as possible for the most reps possible. (5-7) slightly increase the weight or reps with each workout. 2. Proper diet- caloric intake about 15-20% times your body weight. 3. Rest- only work each body part once per week.

These 3 things are not 3 basic rules, they are 3 general rules that can apply in given circumstances, but OP needs to use information sticked around site to find proper basic information.
