hello i'm new to this forum so i thought i'd get some advice from experienced girls. I have been working out since feb 1st with my husband and have seen some good progress as far as losing weight.I have lost 17 pounds so far but have a ways to go. My question.....I have been taking hydroxycut hardcore and dandelion root supplement.Would it be counterproductive to take a creatine supplement while on these products or would gaining muscle by using creatine help to speed up my metabolism?

yes, it would be. Use creatine when you're bulking and want to build some muscle. (creatine doesn't speed up metabolism, either). You could add something like green tea to your supplements, though....that'll help with weight loss. Just keep up what you're doing; eat well and cardio will get you there! :) Best of luck to you

If you've lost that amount since Feb 1st, you're doing wonderful- I wouldn't change up a good thing. Definitely stay away from the creatine, since it helps your body hold on to water weight, which you obviously don't want- Besides, the fat burning properties of having more muscle isn't really what you're looking for anyway- Stick to having a good nutritional plan and a workout that gets the job done. If you're looking for more pointers to fine tune your eating, check out our nutrition forum. Congratulations on the weight loss!

Thanks so much, I thought that the water retention of creatine would work against my weight loss goal. But just wanted to check and make sure.I think maybe i'll try to add the green tea to my supplementation.when would be the best time to drink it........ at night? thanks alot

Thats insane that you lost that amount in a little over a month. Most I've lost in a month I think is 8lbs? But it's hard for me between 2 jobs and full time school to hardcore workout all the time every day (now that it's getting warmer, it's a lot nicer because I don't have to drag my ass to the gym to work out, I can run outside on the nicer days, which helps with my time managment. I ran today (not for long because I have to go tan soon then work at 3:45) But what have you done other then the hydroxycut and supplements to lose that much that fast?

ORIGINAL: losing inches Thanks so much, I thought that the water retention of creatine would work against my weight loss goal. But just wanted to check and make sure.I think maybe i'll try to add the green tea to my supplementation.when would be the best time to drink it........ at night? thanks alot I'd recommend drinking it earlier in the day. Unless you get decaf. Also, it might be better to take it in pill form (the pills substitute multiple cups of green tea so they're more powerful). There is also green tea chewing gum. Its not bad...until you've chewed it too long and it starts falling apart :D But yeah. You're doing really well.

thanx sciamach....that was very informative ...i think i'm going to go the pill route on the green tea. PINK BERRIES......I totally changed my diet which was very important for me.....I have cut out all bread and RED meat, fried foods, no coffee or sodas and milk. I have been eating oatmeal, tuna, lots of chicken, fish, canned salmon, and a protien shake once a day. I do go to the gym monday through friday and work a different bodypart everyday, doing lots of cardio,i also train glutes and abs twice a week. hydroxycut hardcore is so powerful that i literally have to force myself to eat.I'd say that is a major factor in my progress so far.

no you defintely shouldnt use creatine. All it will do is add weight that you are trying to lose, keep it up with what you are doing now and good luck.
