Hey guys, i have been wanting to lift for a while now, but never really put in the time to research the best ways to do it yet until now. I am hoping that you guys will be able to help me out. My major concern will be the dieting part of it. I will be i college and it might be hard on some days to eat a meal every 3 hours that i am awake, but i think that i will be able to handle it. my major concern is the money it will cost me to eat all of this food because pretty much 100% of my money is paying for college. I am 6'5 and 170 pounds. I have been to a few different websites where my daily calorie intake is anywhere from 3000 to 4000. I want to eat the right way and the healthy way, but im not sure i can come up with the money to do so. Some websites say that i should just take a lot of whey protein a day for cheap calories... is that healthy? How much money a week on average do you guys think that it will cost me? And then when i start to think about all the supplements that everyone is taking... ha i look into my wallet and a cloud of dust hits me in my face. Thanks for your help guys

dont worry about supplements if your only starting. Increase ur calories gradually if ur not used to eating that much. ya im in college too, things like pasta, or a bag of potatoes are lots of food for cheap. u'll find ways. as for eating every 3 hours, plan ur meals the day before. if u see that u wont be home for a few hours to eat, fill a lunchbox with any combination of oats, fruits, nuts, yogurt, meat or salad or watever u like to eat. bring a carton of milk to. thats a full meal on the go. i get all my food on about €60 a week. but i'm sure i could get it a lot lower than that.
After a few months: Weight: 177lbs 6 reps Deadlift: 300lbs Squat: 240lbs Bench: on hold. Rotator cuff injury

Okay thanks for the advice. i am probably going to try to make a diet plan for a week or so and see how much it costs. hopefully be a lot less than that ha. i have a question about protein powers.. i know that you can get like a 5 lb tub of gnc whey for 32.99 on their website. But what is the difference between theirs and the ones here http://buybulkwhey.com for 27.99?
