After long, long drought, seems like I'm actually getting regular sex, it might last for a while. If this actually continues, I'm going to need to get on some type of hormonal birth control. The girls getting a bit bigger doesn't bother me (kinda welcomed), but everyone I know who's been on the pill or the other forms has put on 10 lbs or so (in the abdomen). I just bought new pants damnit. I would really rather not add that extra weight (to then have to take off).

Anybody on something they like, could recommend?

I didn't put on 10 lbs more like 5 lbs.  I welcome that over the other issues I was having.

I'm lucky, I don't have any "issues", just trying to prevent the forever life altering child issueSmile. A couple of pounds is a very small price to pay, thanks for your input lady c

My girlfriend is on Cyclessa.  She's actually lost weight, and has had very little, if any, noticable bloating.

Good luck with your hunt for the perfect oral birth control... it can be a long haul.

I was lucky, the one I use actually keeps me leaner than when I was not using, decreases all the cramps, flow and pms issues so if your gf can find a dr willing to work with her and her progesteren, estrogen levels then she may find one that works as well.  The prescribe according to need so she may not be able to use what I use but why not have her ask......triphasil or tricyclene.   Put it this way, if I were celebate (spelling?) I would still use this pill as hormone therapy because I used to have to stay in bed a full day or 2 and could not walk from the pains I got......

Well, this is all encouraging. I have never heard of women becoming leaner on birth control. I will be off to the Dr. sooner rather than later, I'm due.

Thanks again for the testimonials. I am less worried about packing on weight that I won't be able to remove.

Fears allayed.

As Linda mentioned, you may have to do some hunting around... i've known girls who have had to go through 4 or 5 different kinds before they found one suitable for themselves.  Just be patient.  and good luck.

Yes, yes, I'm not optimistic by nature, so don't worry. And yes, I have some friends who's bodies have been screwed up royally for a long time thanks to incompatible birth control.

It's just that these responses were more encouraging than I had hoped possible.

Still need to figure out if I'm keeping this man around anyway Smile, otherwise I'm not spending the money or playing with my hormones.

Thank you gzinkl! I'm going to have to make my signiture bigger, pink (I hate pink) or something, hmm maybe a new picture, I look much better then the one I have posted.

And Wyrms, we (he) is using condoms now, and with out getting deep into my sexual activity stylings, they're not gonna cut it for much longer. I don't trust the things when it comes to regular frequent sex; not dependable, or durable enough for that matter. But a necessity of our times.

So if things continue as they stand now, we will both go get some blood tests, so we can do away with the latex friends, and REALLY have some serious dirty, dirty fun.
Hence my posted question.
