The most basic thing you should look into is a good protein shake- Protein is what the body needs to create new muscle, without it you can workout all you want and not gain a thing. Check out the nutrition section of this site to learn more about what you should be eating, and how often, etc. There's a definite difference between weight gain and muscle gain- Or rather, fat gain and muscle gain. The nutrition section will show you what foods are the best for building muscle and not piling on fat. You need to be eating good clean foods six times a day to keep your body fueled and to keep it burning calories- You also need to be stuffing yourself with protein- Six meals sounds like a lot, but you can substitute a protein shake and a snack for three of those- In my opinion, this makes the protein shake one of the basic building blocks of a good body. You can even order some great protein from this site.

You really want most of your meals to be "whole foods", not things like shakes or protein bars. High protein foods like tuna, chicken breast, turkey breast, lowfat cottage cheese, salmon, and lean red meats, and complex carbs like brown rice, steel cut oats, and whole wheat pasta make up most of my meals, and I'll only take one, maybe two shakes a day. And yeah, six meals a day is a lot, but you get used to it...
