Rest is just as important as the actual lifting. I'd keep doing what you are doing. Maybe make it a 4 day split MAX.

Add cardio and / or stretching on your off days. Abs on those days wouldn't be bad either.

Are you doing full body 3/wk? Why don't you do a push/pull/legs split. I used to alternate upper/lower budy back when I had nothing better to do than be a gym rat. At least you're on the gung ho swing of things. So many people just sh!tcan the whole thing after they get bored or can't take it. Good workin' out! :)

Is your goal just strength? What is your current split? whether you can train 5 days a week will depend on how you order your exercises day to day (if bodypart split) and volume of each days training. Like Bri said rest is important but a 5 day split can work if you train smart. can you give us more information? If your doing TBT dont attempt 5 days a week, I know id burn out.

Either: Day 1 - Pull Day 3 - Push Day 5 - Legs OR Day 1- Heavy Push Day 2- Light Pull Day 3- Off Day 4- Light Push Day 5- Heavy Pull One of those and you'll be looking and even talking like AHHHHHNOLD before you know it.

If your doing a full body i would suggest the day on day off etc as someone mentioned above about rest being just as important. Or if your on a split what MVP said is sound advice, as you will be getting the rest inbetween because you will be working the oppsing sets of muscles...
