well i've been liftin for about six to seven weeks now my bench has went up forty pounds an everything else has 2. my question is there a way i can make better progress am right now am shooting for a 200 bench i hope to have this with in 2 months

..keep doing what you're doing dude. rome wasn't built over night or in six to seven weeks. diet rest bust your ass in the gym everything that interferes with the above process, eliminate from your life.

Where is your bench at now? What program are you doing? Have you stalled yet on bench?

my bench is just at 162 i am doing rampin sets right now me an my workout partner are going to start going heavy on the weights he is pretty much my trainer for i was a lazy person at one time no i have'nt stalled yet he said forty pounds in this short time is pretty good thou

yeah. if i could put on 40 pounds in 6 weeks i would **** a brick. that would put me at 315. until you stall out, i wouldnt change anything. dont fix it if it aint broke.

yup pretty much keep going until you stall on everything, not just bench. Your squats/deadlifts are far more important anyway. your getting close to a deload week anyway so just keep going, rest/light week and then jump back into it.

its all about slow and steady progression aka use those 2.5lbs...it has to be be a slow process because your joints/tendons dont recover as fast as your muscles do so if you jump alot in weight you have a much higher risk of injury or pain because ure tendons/joints arent caught up with your muscles. 40 lbs in 6-7 weeks is very good but the gains will come slower over time
