And in todays world, if you wanna keep up with the guy next to you... you kinda have no choice but to use supplements, you know. Its so common, and your body will only get so big doing 'natural bodybuilding'. I have nothing wrong with people who do it... but I know, they wont be threating me in the GYM! I take some Herb-a-life protein stuff but thats about it, I dont depend on 'natural' stuff to help me gain muscle.

Thats EZ, watch the color of your pee(the more yellow the more unhealthy... you want clear), vomiting, and any strange colors or what not when you crap(like a greenish color,  diarrhea(when you have diarrhea, your body is trying to get rid of whatever food it finds harmful before you can fully digest it, & even viruses.)

and to the two scientists, i know that your body can reject something it finds to be "foreign", but i have only witnesed it when one of my tattoos got infected and my body rejected a lot of the ink, but how do you know if your body is rejecting something that you injest. like natural or non natural supplements. what kind of things happen at that point?

though it is true that ine who uses supplements will be bigger. doesnt mean they are stronger though. i have a few buddies that lift religously, two take supplements, the other one doesnt. the two that do, are huge! and ripped. i mean you can compare them to bodybuilders like ron coleman and jay cuttler. but the one who does it all natural looks a lot like arnold did back in the 70's. you know he wasnt really ripped, but he was rock hard and very defined. that is more of the look i am going for.

anyways, in the gym everyone gauks at the two that are huge, while they wonder about the other one. because he isnt scrawny by any means, but he isnt huge. but then he gets everyones attention when he proves he has more power behind his muscles than the other two. he is stronger and more solid than the others. a lot stronger, and he hasnt even been doing it as long as the others. he just eats right and lifts right.

chisum1357, if you want a healthy natural food, my recommendation is oatmeal.  Heck, you can grind it into a powder and make shakes.  You want a natural, high calorie, healthy carb meal, give oatmeal a shot.  It also has a decent amount of protein in it.

I have it prework out and its great because its slow burning, so it provides a nice supply of energy through the whole workout.

if lookin2getript, tatch and ebbearsfb1 would have actually read all the posts in this thread, you would have found that i had already explained what i meant by that towards ectomorph who answered my question. read first, then from there, you will be able to have an accurate observation point and you will sound like you know what you are saying when you say it. otherwise you come off like an idiot who just wants to start crap as opposed to being part of a consversation.

ah get ur facts straight. HAVE read every bit of this thread. Am NOT just trying to start s@#t. Just adding my two cents worth and trying to establish exactly what it was you were talking about to start with? No harm intended. Chill out man. A lot of what i have contributed to this thread is valuable information from a trainer who has been in the industry for over a decade so take it or leave it bro.

no dramas dude thanx for the reply. Now on a serious note. I was starting out liftin and growin at age 16 and started drinking a ****e load of weiders protein (sugar and the crapiest of crapiest whey in 1994) and at the end of '95 i colapsed at school with a bowel obstruction! No Dr. has ever been able to tell me WHY this happened and i had biopsies of parts of the 4ft of bowel they removed sent around the world to various experts as this was a rare case for a 17yo. Anyway who knows it MAY have had something to do with the crapy weider stuff but can't be sure. I went "natural" for a few years after that making my shakes from fruit/eggs/soymilk/choc flavouring and i grew just fine and i felt great so stick at it man. I have now introduced sups slowly back into my regime and can say from experience that they do make a big difference. My diet is almost immaculate though i eat 1lb of veggies a day and get a majority of my protein from meat and i contribute my results and HEALTH to that. I also notice a big difference when i miss out on my multi vitamin so i take that every day to cover any holes.

Good luck bro

but back to natural bodybuilding, this wasnt intended to be a grammar thread, though in a way i did start shi*, in the minds of most anyways.

tatch, could you give me an example of one of the shakes you described earlier. though i will still be using protein powder, i just wont be using the ones that have anything extra in them.
