Could be because you're using too much weight, or improper form. Have someone check your form, and see if it still happens when you lower the weight.

when im going to failure my muscles always shake on  the last rep or 2 ive always thought its fairly normal

it's normal if you are one your last reps and set, but not if you are just starting out, slow down a bit and lower the weight, FORM is more important then WEIGHT.

Keep at it man. The "shake" you are talking about will go away in a little while, it's your stabilizer muscles that are making you shake. Esp. with bench, work your tri's and lats. Prob solved.

I always get a shake when doing the overhead close grip tricep curls - I'm not sure what they're called since we used to call them skull crushers but I'm told that is not good form these days.
