hey every1. ive been lifting for about 1 and a half years now and ive gotten really into it. i read new stuff about it every day and enjoy my workouts especially when i find a new one i get to try. im only 15 though and im just wondering, do u think im gonna lose motivation as i get older? i mean i dont plan on stopping working out but for all of the people here that have been doing it for a long time now, do u still feel motivated and kinda of excited to work towards looking better or do u just do it to do it?
any comments appreciated.

Well, i started lifting when I was about in 6th grade...so about 12 or 11...now im 18 and still love. Although there were a couple times where I woudnt lift for a month or so.

But in my opinion when u have something to lift for like a sport or goal in how to look it keeps u motivated. So if u wanna lose weight then lifting will be easy and u will be motivated.

For example, I am weighing about 275 from 297 my heaviest and im trying to get down to 215ish....so i am highly motivated to lift and diet. Especially when i get results.

Besides that iave had football and powerlifting and basketball to train for.

You know what motivates me?  The fact that when i get on the Bench or when im doing Shrugs Squats or what ever im doing usually bench this happens with... I get a crowed of kids and even some adults staring at me watching me press the amount of weight i press and wonder how its possible.

I like the fact that a girl grabs my arm or hugs me or just bumps into me and says "Wow you must work out" "Your arms are soo hot"  Etc...

I like when i go to parties that everyone wants to talk to me about working out or some punk wants to arm wrestle me because he wants to prove something "How fast he can lose"

Personally I do it because i am a bit vain...  But i feel i deserve it because when i was younger i was the scrony kid... The kid who use to get picked on for being smaller then everyone else...  Who got the girls but never kept them or was constantly crit.  about my weight.   I dont know about you guys But I just want to be the Big Guy.

lol alright i guess thats good, i like to work towards the goals i set so that should keep me motivated and i just like to look good in general. the only thing i was worried about is when i get to the point where i do look really good, cause im not gonna wanna get bigger forever. theres a point where u just get to big to look good so idk maybe then my goal will be to lose fat or something.

its really hard to see your self getting bigger i noticed... So you might just want to get bigger and bigger and bigger... Thats the problem i have although i noticed i look really good when i cut so i cut down after i get to my goal weight.
