It does sound very unbeliveable. My little 11 year old bro 103 pounds benchs 80... And I thought that was good for his age... It would be awsome if you got the video. And take it easy guys no one needs to be yelling at anyone, there just being honest and it is very unlikely for someone that size to be able to lift that. Even squating that much at 90 pounds... I'm just trying to clear it up a bit.

There's some helpful posts, and some not so helpful- I don't think the issue here is how much a thirteen year old can really lift at that weight, the question is why do some people have strength that doesn't really show. It's possible to increase your strength without adding muscle, simply because the muscle you already have learns to operate at it's peak potential- Think about your average person who decides to start lifting without a real diet in place. They still experience beginner gains, because their body learns how to use the muscle it already has. Naturally, there's only so much you can expect from this- Sooner or later, your body will simply have to add more muscle mass in order to be able to lift more, since you cannot build new muscle without the proper nutrients, period. So, if you want some strength that really shows, you have to eat right- Plain and simple.

Right now I take about 100 protein a day... Is that enough?

It's not enough to say you take this much protein- sure protein is important, but you need your whole diet in shape before you can really make progress. Protein means a lot, but it doesn't mean everything in other words. Get concerned with all of it- Protein, carbs, fats- the proper amounts of the proper types of these will get you on the right track. Check out our nutrition forum, do some reading there- There's a lot to learn in those pages. To answer the question though, generally speaking in order to gain muscle you want to take in something like 1 1/2 grams of protein per pound of lean mass. You might have to work up to that amount, and some people try to go as high as 2 grams per, but 1 1/2 should be fine. Remember though- If the rest of your diet's crap, all that protein is only going to do so much.
