Why am I very strong, but it doesn't show??? - Tuesday, December 27, 2005 3:46 PM
Okay... I am 13, I can one handed curl 30 pounds, and I can bench press 200, maybe more. The most I've done is 200. I am 5 3, and 90 or so pounds. I am very strong, but my body doesn't show it. Why not?

I know most 13 year olds lie about how much they can bench, but honestly I CAN bench 200 pounds.

Can I make a suggestion? First of all, if you are going to post something like this back the information up. You say you're 13, yet your profile has no age at all. Secondly, 200lbs divided by 90lbs = 2.22lbs / lb of bodyweight (which I have to agree does put you in the upper reaches of strength) and thirdly, may it be possible for a picture as well (so we can assess where your strength is)

I knew this would happen, becuase no one believes me sept' my friend whitch was spoting me. But this topic was not made for me to brag about how much I can lift. I would like to know why I am so strong, but my body is not that great. Girls say I have an awesome build, but my friend whitch has a better body is much weaker than me.

And to all of you that don't believe me, I'll try and take a picture next time I do it.

ok forgot the Benching, you ask why your so strong but it doesnt show,
1.What does your diet consist of?
2.How many Kcals you eating each day?
3.How much protein intake per day?
4.What is your workout regime?
5.Do You SQUAT!

its pretty hard to believe someone benching 2.2 there own bodyweight man

Most record holders DONT do that, and youre 13, unless you inject about 500 grams of pure testosterone and steroids in every hour-your body cant naturally get that strength

also, is your form of 200 correct?

lowering down taking 3 seconds and steady
keeping at chest for 1-2 seconds
and raising taking 3 seconds

and does your spotter have the finger under the bar?
finger under the bar and a little help can make you max a lot more than you might think.
Thats right guys, sugars in fruits are bad, they are simple sugars which will make you FAT, I mean we all know monkeys eat mainly fruit and look! THEYRE VERY FAT!

Your probally not growin cause your overtrainin When I first got into lifting weights I benched every other day, I got strong real quick, but didnt gain any mass. Considering your 13 and only 90lbs how do you expect to look buff?  You gotta eat and rest more.

First. Damann, diet well I don't know exactly but I try and get as much protine as I can. Kcals? I dunno. But I get around 2000 cals per day, at least I try for that or more. I try and get at least 50 protine a day, but I usually get 30 to 40. I do 300 sit ups, 500 crunchys, run a mile, 20 to 50 one handed curls of 20, and some times I do some other stuff. "Do You SQUAT!" If your speaking of having much weigth on yoru shoulders, NO. I find it highly dangurous, unless it's a machine.

Second, twistedlink. I would like it if you would stop posting in this topic becuase you go off topic just trying to tell me I'm a liar.

Third. Thanks for the advice BigSwole.

Someone always has to write on the walls "Mike was here". But then someone else puts an arrow and it says "Mike is a ****got". So Mike comes back to check it out, "What the hell?! I was here but not as a ****got!"

Stop runnin a mile a day, and try to take in more protein, aim for 90-135 grams of protein per day.

- 18 grams protein in 3 eggs (morning or pre/post work out)
- 10 grams potein in 8 oz of yogurt (Morning)
- 25 grams protein in one whey protein shake (post workout)
- 33 grams in one can of tuna (any time of the day)
- 16 grams in 2 cups (16 0z.) of milk (any time of the day)
- 16 grams in 1/2 cup of cottage cheese (nite time right before bed)

thats 118 grams protein and that should be easy to consume

you say you normally get 30-40 grams, thats just not gonna cut it for quality muscle growth

ya its really not that hard to get 30 a day let alone a meal, for breakfast you could have 1 Cup Oatmeal, maybe Sausage or Eggs and a big glass of milk that right there is over 30grams, try this site and track your calories www.fitday.com, post and ask questions in training and nutrition forums, more people look at those
